Re: Yamaha Starts Dealer Training For R25

I think the 125cc is due because a few months back Yamaha India officials were speaking on some possibilities on a very cheap 125cc.
But, why on earth Yamaha is considering Indians inferior riders than Indonasians(no offence)? Do they think that we will not be able to handle a 150cc+ Yamaha? If so, sweet dreams Yamaha.

whenever yamaha will bring its higher capacity bikes in India, they will kill everything in sight because they know how to design a bike and how to give that x factor which revs the heart...

Do tell me that this is a joke . At the moment, they are happy selling 125cc Odd bikes . Speculations of 250 CC are going on for eternity and u r talking about killing everything .

For a Second, I will think that dreams do come true but yamaha killing everything will not even comes in there as well .

I don't think you know the history of R15 which affected almost every bike below and above its segment and still its running strong whereas competition is offering a lot more at the same price. same was the case with fz16.

                  Mate,

You rightly used word HISTORY . We are talking of some thing in Past. I am talking of present . Competition offer more nowhere means that they are scared of R 15 or has inferior products . it simply means they Offer more value to the end user than Yamaha. If i was in market for a bike which offer me best bang for my buck, I would not look at Yamaha B,cause the bikes are over priced for what they ever.

Coming to R 25, it is in speculations for some 1 year now . No body knows if this news of dealer training is happening in actual or this is also a rumor. so until they launch it and I see it in showrooms , I do not agree that they are launching this.

I agree but their quality, designing and technology is unmatched and quality always comes at a price.

you are exaggerating things about Yamaha. Definitely there is a diff but if it 19-20 here or there with a huge price to pay for 20 , I won;t mind picking a lesser price as it offers me better value for my money. It gets compensated as spare parts are also cheap in longer run . FE is another aspect and we all know how Fuel efficient bikes they make in real world FE .

As for UNMATCHED thingy goes , let's not argue on that. More or better quality options are available in market for a less price already available for a 150 cc bike .

PS : - I always keep the fan boy side of me in check .

I am not against any brand but i prefer quality and peace of mind over small and stupid niggles.

I myself ride an Yamaha and know why people swear by the ownership of an Yamaha. But, they should at least bring up some models with displacements of 150cc+. When R15 came out, situation was different. Nowadays, even a P200/P220/CBR250 is passe. They should have come up with something new. And Yamaha is the very company which has given us both the RD and the RX series. Look how they have discontinued such a good cruiser like Enticer. A 250-300cc Enticer would definitely be a big hit here. Avenger and RE virtually do not have any competition in their class!

Yeah, R15 was a revolution, started in premium biking 150 cc category. Hell it still is a craze among people. But all revolutions are to come to an end when it is at its high. R25 is a big thing from Yammy's stable. It will kill all 200/300cc segments with pricing factor a great thing in our community.

My R15 v2 got stolen 2 weeks back. In desperate need of a new bike. Looking forward to R25. But update on it. Ohh damm you Yamaha. Went to Delhi Scotters (Yamaha Showroom in Delhi). They have no idea about its launch. They said probably around Diwali. WTF.
Maximum i will wait is end of April. Otherwise some other brand... or back to R15
