I completely agree. A very sensible bike and if priced correctly can make a lot of sense. One of my friends just loves it and has waited for more than a year but no news of it getting it launched here is pushing him towards the ninja 650.

        ^^^^

The DSKs did a fine job in marketing the products (Bennelis)..

The unawares who could afford the bike got to know about it and bought it too...

Kawasaki never did that with Ninjas and Zs unfortunately.. never understood their advertising strategy.

I can only see Honda importing 400 units of individual components for CBR250RB which could mean we will get a facelifted 250R.

5 bikes are going to be launched at Revfest. 2of them definitely are the CBR 650 and the CBR 250/300. The remaining 3 could be anyone's guess. One of the 3 could also be a naked version of the CBR250/300. I don't think they will lanch the CBR 500 because there isn't any space for it in the market.

Well one blog posted a covered 250R with the existing bike's exhaust. Something tells me its a new paintjob only 250R but i could be wrong in that the manufacturer may try to mislead the people around the area and then swap the actual bike's parts just before the event starts. No reason why they would import 250R parts from Thailand since the old bike is mostly made in India itself.

For Chennai, SVM Honda-Kilpauk is the only dealer now handling CBR 650-F. I have spoken with the sales manager about the bike . He said the ex-showroom might come under 7 lakhs(Don't know delhi or chennai). And also adding the revfest, mostly CBR series would be launched( Hope CBR 500 would launch)

29 bhp is 300r . the new 250r sold internationally is comestic upgrade. engine however remains same. but probably with a further refined map on ECU
300r is basically the same bored out 250r to 300.

Correction.. Actually, the new CBR250R (dual headlights) is 29PS while the CBR300R is 30.5bhp (or 31PS). Also, both the new CBR250R and 300R are lighter than the current CBR250R that we have here.

really? What does the 300R offer over the 250R then? Apart from the 2 PS more power?
                          Is the price similar?

Honda would know. 250R is specifically sold in Indonesia while 300R is for other markets like Europe.

Indonesia has a weird policy which mandates that products over 250cc are taxed much more heavily than those under.

Therefore all manufacturers have 250cc offerings in Indonesia.

300R is 30.4hp, 250R is 29hp. As stated above, Indonesian market has a displacement specific tax rate so manufacturers have had to create Ninja 250, R25 and CBR 250R for them
