re: Honda CBR 650F launch on 4th August. Bookings Open!

I was wondering, why not bring in the CB650F naked in India first?

Its lighter, those 4 pipes look sexy, and it's a lot more practical.

I guess due to the love for a fairing we aren't even considering the naked brother/sister of the CBR 650F. Which IMHO is what I would've bought looking at current state of roads and road etiquette of the "Janta".

    Just my 2 cents.

I think its mostly because of our love for Faired bikes. Plus faired bikes provide more wind protection too. I have heard that on highways it does make a difference.

I personally would prefer the faired version too.

CBR650F parts have started arriving from Thailand for local assembly.
(Not that too many would be interested given its price range)

Anyway here are some of the imported parts:

I wonder where are they with the CBR 500, It was rumoured to be launched this year .. along with the 650F i believe.
AM waiting for this, and hopefully they price it good.

              Thanks

Sorry Mate. There has been no announcements from Honda for launching the CBR500 in India. My friend was also looking for it.

I have started to think about duke 390 and RC 390, If Honda is again delaying the launch I may probably go for any of these. However I wanted CBR 500. Lets see if they are going to to launch it this year.

                  Thanks

Just noticed the first ride review of Ninja 250SL on Visordown. The headlight design very much resembles the CBR650F headlight.

Its a Honda man, its inline 4 , its got ABS, its got fairings. . did I mention its a HONDA! Street triple onroad here is 9Lacs, ER6n can not be compared with 650F. TNT 600i is Yamaha engine ripped off by chinese manufacturer rebranded as Italian. . . so to me 8 lacs is quite justifiable for riliability, originality, safety and looks.

I heard from a fellow 250R rider that a Bangalore Showroom has told him about a July 4th Launch in Bangalore for the CBR650F. Did xbhp or any other mags get an invite yet? Any other confirmation?
