They might launch it eventually, likely the 300 version but the question is what route they choose, to import or to produce!

Re: Honda unveils the CBR250RR in Indonesia!

Currently they are only assembling the 650F as CKD(when engine comes fully built from Thailand at a whopping 1.3 lakh rupees a piece before taxes) but next year they will also start assembling the CRF1000L Africa Twin alongside it in the same way(engine fully built import) so there's a good chance that this assembly line will also be used to sell limited batches of 350RR just like Yamaha does with the R3. Their 650F sales targets are being achieved with 20-30 units a month so there's a good chance more bikes will be assembled there.

There was an interview last year when the 650F assembly news came out that eventually they plan to assemble the VFR too in India.

As of now, they take 4 guys off the scooter/motorcycle production assembly line and assemble the 650F at 1-2 unit a day. When more products are added there might be a standalone assembly line but the market response would be key if I was to look at it as a management guy(which I'm not).

The new individual service bays they setup in different cities for the 650F will eventually be used to service other premium models surely. Can't see the dealers investing money for a separate AC bay to service just one product for a long time.

The Ninja 300 is at 4 lakhs now yes? Would anyone buy a 350RR for say 50-60k more? That is a bigger question.

Anyway here's a new feature. the DRL lights double up as turn signals:

And here's the 3 riding modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport+

            Hi All,

I have one question though may be little off topic.
Why Indonesia ? why is that all new models seems to launching there From R25 to Mslaz (naked R15) , New Dual headlight CBR250r to CBR250rr is the market bigger than ours ?

            Regards,

I would like to buy and sure many others are too.
+ points of CBR250RR or 350RR (in case of India) is the relatively new engine and new technology whereas Ninja 300 slightly improve on old model.
+ Honda and Yamaha after sales services are better then Kawasaki as they relay on Bajaj.
+ Honda offer ABS as a optional, hope they come with in India also.

My guess if Honda come with CBR350RR with ABS, price will be 3.8 lac ex-show. anything further I would like to go for benelli leoncino 500

I think all manufacturers study each others sales potential. How the Ninja 300 and the R3 faired in terms of sales would give Honda and others a clear indication of if our market is ready to accept premium import models.

Anyway the aftermarket exhaust note link was somehow deleted by the fb user. here's a youtube link:

I am really skeptical about how these modes will even affect daily riding and that too on a 250cc mil. I hope Honda puts these modes to good use and not another marketing gimmick just to hold an extra feature over the R3/R25 and N300

What if this thing has Mad acceleration like the KTM Duke and RC390?
Then having those modes to calm down the bike will be good, No?

Somehow I missed this news earlier. One word that comes to my is WTF? Can Honda seriously give this to Indian market? And regarding the Modes it's really a doubtable feature on 250cc.

Man! this is real premium. Quality stuffs all around, more in the lines of 600 and 1000 rrs'!! How premium does it cost over its competitions in Indonesia?
couldn't understand a word though! Front shocks are adjustable too??

its 60 thousand rupees more expensive than the R25(non-ABS to non-ABS). The Ninja 250 FI is 30k less expensive so it sits right between the R25 and the 250RR. Non adjustable front, rear Pro-link is the usual 5 level adjustment for preload. Would have been nice if they had given front preload adjustment too like they did with the 2016 500 series.

Honda today announced that they have no plans to introduce the 250RR or the 300R to India.
They are currently training their technicians to assemble the CRF1000L which is due to go on sale from next year.

Not surprised about the 250RR tbh, its only meant for Indonesia, Japan and Turkey(the regular 250cc markets) for now. Its too expensive as is in Indonesia at 3.3 lakhs, so adding our import taxes it would be nothing short of 4.5-5 lakhs OTR. The import taxes are going to be raised this year by a few % i heard. Ironic that politicians who splurge our money on luxury SUVs make owning imports for the common folks next to impossible. If only we had a say in their vehicle budgets. :P

Honda always considers reliability over mad performance. If we go by history, then Honda has been known to create bikes with less power than competition in same segment. With the way the bike looks, premium written all over it and honda reliability, then I am quite sure it wont have mad acceleration like RC390. Rather it will be better/equal to what R3 and N300 offers. Fingers crossed. I really hope what you said should be right
