This is the only desi company that is trying to bring good products overall at regular intervals. I respect them for that!
But, on the other hand; they need to ramp up their Quality Check procedures big time. The Pulsar from being 'Definitely Male' to 'Leave(ing) track racing to amateurs' has come a long long way in terms of engine quality, reliability and overall feel, but few such incidents leave a soar taste in the mouth!

haha! i can barely tell what you're trying to say. there's too much sarcasm in your texts.

if you go back a few pages in this thread you'll see i was calling out bajaj on how they need to sort this issue out.

      then you said...

i was under the impression you were being sarcastic here. you put put quality issues in air quotes.

(the a 1988 RX100 was my first bike my second bike was an RD350 HT... but i won't even compare those bikes to todays coz those were a different era.)

and you are WRONG about bajaj. you can't take away the fact that THEY are the ones who've changed the 'performance' motorcycle market in india.

(even though it may have been at a snails pace)

anyway... what i have to say is this...

bajaj need to take this issue very seriously, or they're not worthy of entering the 400cc segment.

quality control. it's a matter of a person's life. bajaj need to take it very seriously.

are you serious? that bike was involved in an accident.

the forks are seriously bent inwards and the wheel is bent and is broken at different places on each spoke.

the rider was going 100+ and claims to only have a vague recollection of the incident.

look at the break pattern on the mag wheel spokes... they're completely different.

and that FZ picture is 6 years old. says a lot.

all the pulsar issues have been documented in THIS year itself.
Man.m just showing you an example.don't blame the rider for not remembering.do you expect anyone to rememebt in such situations.my point is doesn't matter what or how accident happens,it should never break.its alloy.and may it be Bajaj Yamaha or any brand.

So my wait for the CS 400 will continue till 3-4 months after the bike being launched. Precaution is mandate incase of Bajaj. And more so, when you are shifting from an Ultra reliable Honda.
But, still I do trust Bajaj.

I own a 2014 June KTM 390. Initially even I was apprehensive regarding alloy breaking issues but I was on a tight budget, went ahead n bought it. For the 1st 2-3 months I was really wary of potholes n undulations but as I gained in confidence alloys were least of my worries. It's been 6k on odo n I haven't even had a puncture. The alloy issue has been sorted out by the company to a great extent. And also there has been plethora of upgrades in the new 2015 model which has made the bike even more desirable. I don't know why people have so much of animosity towards KTM, just because it's associated with Bajaj !! Haters gonna hate, buyers gonna buy. This holds true for all consumer products. For people like me who are on a budget, KTM has delivered on our dreams.

Irrespective of whether or not we write to Bajaj, the fact is they (Bajaj and all the other manufacturers) are watching the discussions happening here. What steps do they take after reading it is not in our hands. If we managed to convey the sentiments of the community to them, our job is done.
If you can 100% say that others are 'cooking' up stories... why don't you server the real deal ?
I agree that manufacturers do have an eye on such online forums/publications, but as you said if 'what steps they take after reading it is not in our hands' then I feel the purpose is just lost. The manufacturers probably already consider us as a bunch of trolls ! With such news eventually dying out after a few rants and mumblings by users in general.
I have personally seen how things can be swept under the carpet unless the issue is contested firmly (i mentioned this earlier on this thread, and was not surprised to see that guys fb post taken down).. which unfortunately very few do. With this, I rest my case and would not want to discuss it further.

And at the guy who asks why bajaj doesn't source from enkei... it is their right to chose their vendor, but it is also their responsibility to ensure that the vendor supplies good quality stuff. You can't just blame only the vendor.

did anyone check the rs 200 official website recently? the have just added an "expert reviews" tab in there, where many "experts" rant on abt this bike's superiority. curiously enough, there's one from the "xbhp team" as well.

well, those who went on there to speak abt this bike, why o why are they silent on this wheel/handlebar breakage issue

People didn't go there specifically to speak good things about the RS200. These 'first impression' videos were recorded by Bajaj during the RS200 review ride that happened at Chakan. Pretty standard practice in the industry. They record on camera journalists' first impressions about their products. Not all get published though.

And coincidentally I was shooting those videos and no handlebars or ally wheels were destroyed in the making of those videos or during those tests. If that helps

TVSian: you need to remember that this is exactly why ownership reviews are a much better source of information if you can filter out fanboyism from it.
What this industry calls as "comprehensive reviews" or self proclaimed "expert" reviews are reviews that happen in 2-3 hours or at best 2-3 days.
We at PowerDrift call the first impression pretty much as first impression, and a test as a test. These issues dont/wont crop up in this tenure. Long term review is what helps here, but not many brands would want to share their product for that long a time, especially unbiased reviewers

I can understand,Sir.I have one informative thing - BAJAJ Knows This WILL Happen and dosen't give a F about the Human Life,Quality nor the Product.
^^ That's why I hate companies like Bajaj and Maruti Suzuki - They favour Features and Fuel Efficiency over Quality

I mean, Bajaj HAS TESTED IT and KNOWS It's DEFECTIVE.But again,They Don't care. They know what our Brainless idiots want - Features,Fuel Efficiency and loads of these.
They want the 'Hai Gaaiz,I am Baih Palsar,LED Balp,Aii Feecher Baik' to be THAT SAME WAY and NOT 'Hi Guys,I have brought the Pulsar 200 RS and Bajaj has upped the Build Quality of the Parts' - Just because the majority of people buying (I am not saying All of them) Pulsars are the First Category.Even while knowing these,PEOPLE STILL BUY THEM !! Ofcourse,Bajaj has their own testing facility from Nuts to the Whole Bike 3DS Modelling.THEY JUST WON'T because they know Majority of the buyers for this bike out there, are always wanting Cool Features and Good Mileage and for that,THEY WILL NOT give a Hand and leg so that you will get Good Quality Features and Parts. So for the Price,They created a Bike with Low Quality Parts and it's Alloys and Handlebar made of IRCTC Tincan Sheets. And the funniest part is,People knowing inside - Features comes with a Compromise of Quality but Boasting about this POS Outside,When something happens,They Complain !- 'Maih Palsar Tayar break,Frndzzz, nobady by Bajaj Baik,I feechers,Loa Qaality' Bwahahahahahah !! I would say STFU and suffer. They all be like -
