Wow, what emotions from our members. The only good thing I can make out is everyone wants a product which is safe to use. But bad mouthing the company isn't the apt way to do it. But since India doesn't yet have a lemon law to protect the customer, this way seems the apt way!
Was the particular product in question faulty? Seems so! Almost likely. Are all products built poorly? Doubtful.
Did this particular user get a lemon? Probably.
Does that mean all RS200 are poor on quality? Maybe! From that batch. Or maybe just this bike.
Out of the hundreds of these sold, one has caused a possible fatal incident. Bajaj should be worried. After all, every manufacturer knows that there are defective pieces. Bajaj should make it's QC more effective to eliminate defective batches. Does that mean Bajaj or any automotive firm can achieve 0% defective products? Nope, but they can at least target 95%.
For this user, if his claims are proved true, he must be suitably compensated.
Am I a bajaj fanboy? Hell yeah! I own a bajaj karizma and my entire family line rides on bajaj splendors.
