Also the RTR200 comes in with AHO .

The main lamp automatic head lamp on (AHO) with a light switch. When the switch is in the off position, the main light remains lit but dim and the backlight is off. In position dusk lights, main lights dim but the speedometer and rear lights on. Lastly if positioned in the 'on' headlights illuminate. Equipped also with day running light (DRL) of LEDs whose position as the eyebrows, this light directly illuminates when the key
contact in turn to the on position.

Rtr 200 comes with a balancer to sort things out, ride it once you'll know what I'm talking about. Infamous oil leakage? That's the gasket which expands and that happens in 1 out of 25-30 vehicles.

Coming to the D200 engines, have you heard the part where people have tandoori legs? I've had chats with many of my friends who said their spark plug cover came out on the highway and they couldn't understand why that would pop out!?

Also you know 90% of the people are too busy to register and type in all of the problems. Ask xbhp admins to give a report of the guests and members together at the same time who are viewing the website. To know more, you should look up in the service centres.

OT: Owner of a Fiat Punto?
Someone seems to know nothing about the KTM's(Dukes) and still spreading rumours. Which bike do you own sir? I have owned both the Dukes (200, 390) and a RC 390 and I also happen to know a lot of people who own a KTM and everyone is happy. I am not saying these motorcycles are perfect, but then which motorcycle is?

The quality which you are talking about after reading a handful of people ranting here and there, doesn't count. I agree the RTR's plastic quality might be a notch better if not the same but nothing else even comes close to what a Duke has to offer, yes, that includes the fun factor too!

FYI, I have seen the Dukes being abused way more than Apaches owing to their motors crazy revving abilities, the short gearing of the 200's and the stunt friendly chassis and I have also seen dukes lasting a very long time without any issues as such if maintained properly. I should also mention that I have seen Apaches giving up in the first few thousand km's of their ownership.

I am not saying one bike is good or the other is bad, the whole point of writing this is to ask you to restrain from misguiding people without being aware yourself. If you check RTR forum and Duke forums, you'd see complaints from both sides. It's not because the motorcycles are no good, but the fact that the forum is present to be able to discuss mutual interests and also to resolve issues of fellow bikers, if any. Stop being a fanboy!
Why 2wheels over 4.....

No offence but this post shows you are one.
I just pointed out a few things which are a real issue on these bikes, so am I wrong? Misguiding? Sorry what? Idk why people think they are the only owners of a particular brand/bike? I may or may not own a duke but surely i do have friends who do own them. Just in the same way as you have defended the Duke I have defended the RTR200 when even 1% of the population haven't actually ridden the bike and have jumped to conclusions. If people can rant about others without knowing, I surely can when I know what are the issues on these bikes. I hope you've gotten your answer peace!

JS16 You just mentioned you defended rtr200.How can you defend a bike which hasent even rolled out yet and u dont own it?
D200 engine is DOHC and not SOHC.that makes a difference.rtr is a commuter bike, duke is a performance bike.you can't compare both.sure they show racing things and etc but the torque is spreaded in such a way that its good for city rides.
On the other hand d200 engine is crazy revving.sure you might have some friends who has problems but a lot of factors depend on it.like how the run in was done how they maintained.Even ducatis and sbk has problems.does iT mean its bad?
Own the bike , ride it for some kms and then let us do know how is it and all are waiting for a review you

Very well said. A price of 15,000 + or more difference between these bikes and clearly Tvs has a winner in their hands. VS RS 200 only a sec difference on track like Kari is just amazing from a bike with no top speed torque, and never was made for a track run. Amazing job TVS.

With 15K + you get more power, twin projectors, fairing to protect from windblast+ more.....it depends on what the buyer wants. But one has to agree,if you want a complete 200+ cc bike as a VFM bike nothing betas the RS.
