While the RTR has very different elements put together to make it more aerodynamic on city and highways but being a naked bike it can tour but the wind blast would be real. NS on the other hand has the horsepower advantage which makes it's a better tour bike then RTR but stil remember these are naked bikes and touring with wind blast would make no sense so if you are looking for some touring you can get any bike but RTR still has an advantage over other naked bikes not only NS. Since company's these days think small pillion seat is the way to go, TVS has shown us something different and which works for them as a huge advantage with people looking for a fast bike, comfort, and safety which TVS offers like a Boss and other company's do offer better sheet spec's but overall they do not fit the right comfort levels for them and their pillion. So yes TVS has a winner on it's hands with normal people at least.

People who like spec sheet battle are not typical tvs fans but people who want overall everything in a bike will be the new customers TVS will have and Apache Tibes who want to upgrade to a better machine would choose RtR again.

Now it's keep everything at bay and wait for the Launch in showrooms and see the magic TVS would do in the biking industry, only time will tell.

NS doesnt have a small pillion seat by any stretch of imagination.

Which RTR are you talking of? The 180 or the 200? The 200's split seat doesnt really seem comfortable

Different elements? Like............................................?

And that advantage is.............................................?

What is "Tibes" ?

shadcool786 the rtr isn't a good tourer bike.reason being it has 5 gears, meaning anything above 90 speeds u would be stressing your engine.2nd it has good torque and power for city use and not for highway

I didn't check it properly. Today also saw again. Bike looks a bit thin.

Its a good looking motorcycle. Its a commuter 110 but looks like a 125cc bike. The quality and features will easily out do these 2 bikes you've mentioned. Yes black color is available. I've seen the Victor in all the showrooms I know.

So today i went to Tristar TVS to check the bike. Surprisingly they had a test ride bike. So got a chance to test ride the bike. Bike is pretty good. Typical 200cc bike.
1) seats are comfortable
2) powerful enough for city ride, will surely miss 6th gear in high speed / highway cruise.
3) it has vibration
4) bike tank looks beefy
5) brakes were sharp and very responsive
6) wheel lock quickly when you kick the break hard.
7) bike feels jerky when we accelerate quickly.

When i took the bike, the choke was engaged, so the idling rpm was at 4k. Searched for the choke and didn't find it anywhere near console, so the engine was revving at 4k + heavy traffic plus + hot weather made the engine heat up quickly. Later when i returned to showroom they just turned off the choke which was under the tank. Overall riding experience was not good due to the choke was engaged.

This was carburettor + tvs tyre + non abs version.

Few pics below.

I have test driven the bike too.
1. Agreed
2. Does upto 147Kmph on the speedo.
3. Nope it doesn't. Whatever it has, its in the top of the range 9000rpm and beyond and much lesser than any 200cc bike. Any 200cc.
4. Yes
5. Like always and the 240mm is something.
6. Isn't that obvious?
7. That's because of your choke issue. The bike accelerates very linearly till 8500-9000RPM power generally coming in after 2500~2700RPM.

Point i would like to add.
1. Tall riders will be happy.
2. 0-60 timer is a stop watch timer this time.
Managed 3.6 seconds.
3. The exhaust note is one of the best in the 200-300cc segment bested only my the Mojo. Keeping aside the Expensive one's.
4. You can enjoy this bike without revving the nuts of out this engine.
5. 100kmph comes up at 6700RPM.
6. The Revv limiter can be adjusted accordingly.
7. Front disk could be bigger, amazing feedback but competition offers bigger disks.
8. The bike is very light on its feet. Remove the saree guard, extra mud guard, center stand and the bike will weigh about ~132kgs dry.

Hope this helps.

Guys,
Questions for those who have done the test drives here.
how much you will rate against mojo and duke 200?
ride quality,vibration,acceleration.
Mojo and Duke has 6 gears both may be having relax drive for 110 above so how RTR performs here in the 5th gear.
i am looking for 200-300 cc segment with ABS so I can wait for sometime for better bike.

This is not the right place to talk to about the query you provided.
But yes, I have taken a TD few days back and RTR doesn't disappoint at all, Vibrations are minimal barely felt, + the TD bike only had 130 KMS so the break in wasn't even done. Quality is amazing better then current 180's I would say. Acceleration is awesome better then the 180's way better. Overall a very sturdy and quality bike from TVS. Would be in my list in the future for now.

There is post which talks about test drive experience hence asked about the comparison.
If it is not appropriate let the mods move it.
Thanks for your response any how wait for comparison as you have compared with 180.

Honestly i wanted to buy the fi+abs+pirelli version of this bike, but after TD I'm a bit disappointed. May be i need to take TD again in some other showroom.
