I would surely start the ownership thread , but the delay in delivery is really testing my patience.

Yes they do ask for both of the keys and original RC papers. I had both my keys and I have coloured photocopy of RC with me and it was sufficient for the claim. Things they have asked me to produce are:
1. Original RC
2. DL
3. PUC
4. Insurance
5. Both keys
6. Insurance claim form duly filled
7. 2 ID proofs
8. FIR copy
9. Statement from any 2 person who knows me well
10. Cancelled cheque
11. Vehicle untrace report (after 30 days)
12. Intimation to national crime record bureau (a simple application with lost bike details sent by speed post will be fine)
13. RTO forms for Ownership transfer to insurance company.

They will do some percent of depreciation if both keys are not provided. In my case the claim settler informed me that amount depreciated for not having both keys will be around 2000. But I provided both keys and they did no depreciation in claim amount.

You are right Bro, I too actually wanted to share all the experience on this new machine, but due to the hectic schedule these days at work I am not getting plenty of time, And from all the time I am getting after work I am driving my Duke 390 so that I finish the break in period asap and test the real performance of this machine.

However in case any of you need any specific information on the bike or pictures/videos of some specific function/part please let me know. And I would love to revert with maximum possible details.

BTW : Current ODO on my 2017 DUke 390 also Reads 390

. Hopefully it will be soon 1000 kms and The rev limiter settings will be unlocked after that.

Does your bike have the upgraded orange colored WP fork seals? I saw these in the EICMA launch video and also in the powerdrift video. Asking because they are nowhere to be seen on the bikes being delivered. They were also on the Duke 250 during the 23rd Feb Mumbai launch

Based on hackergaurav's bike's pics in page 22, it does not. Unsure what this means though, perhaps the red cap is a power part or just a cap and not the actual seal, im just guessing.

Even I was about to ask the same question.
Could be that the orange is a power part dust cap and/or maybe it is located under the black cap you see from outside. The black cap is actually an additional dust cap (which wasn't present on early ktm's) which can be easily slid down by hand. The actual oil seal is located behind it.
i.e. there are two dust seals (or as ktm calls one of them as 'seal ring') behind which sits the actual oil seal, at-least on the pre 2017 models.

Here is an image of the parts from the earlier 390/200's :
part 98: consists of 3 items which form the fork seal replacement kit (18 being the dust cap, which in this case might be the orange one we see on the test bikes. the oil seal is item 19 that sits behind 18)
part 23: what ktm calls seal ring (wasn't present on the ktm's until around 2014). this can be slid down using your hands. Useful when cleaning out the grime that gets trapped behind using their fork seal cleaning tool.

Quite a few changes have been made to cooling system in Duke 390 2017 model to overcome Heating issue, Bigger Fan is one of them, On mine the Fan turns on only once I start riding the bike in city traffic, On highway it never turned on till now automatically, Also what I have noticed is The Radiator fan turns on in City and keeps the temp in control, Till now Temp meter never exceeded half. So hopefully KTM has fixed the heating issue.

PS. I really like the sound of Radiator Fan as it turns on in traffic and grabs everyone's attention

, Sounds like a jet engine...lol.

That's how it has been, especially since late 2014 when the fan came with a shroud around it.
Sounds like a tiny jet engine and raises curious eyebrows in traffic.

KTM guys are making me wait too long. Pre launch booking /two month advance booking is almost useless now. No orange Duke yet in stock in Mumbai. KTM launched orange as official colour but sent out the first stock of white colour to dealers. Can't believe this.

Secondly the bank loan processing n stamp duty charges were waived off and even the ROI was good for March. But due to the delay in getting stock, KTM isn't accepting the down payment money and as KTM isn't providing the down payment receipt, bank is unable to disburse loan and have said that in April the ROI will change and even the waiver offer will lapse.

Update :: Will get the bike in stock only on 10th April.

As if the price hike was not enough, the delivery date seems to be going further and further here in Karnataka. Apparently its going to be to the end of April now, post 20th. I've been riding a darn scooty (god bless it, better than nothing) but the wait is killing me.
