I can completely understand how it feels to wait, I am riding this bike everyday now, so I can assure you every minute waited to get 2017 Duke 390 is worth it. You will fall in love with it once you will have it. I never drove any KTM bike earlier and didn't even got the chance to test ride one, Still booked it blindly, And glad that I am not regretting this decision. You can try getting the bike with temporary number and billing can be done later.

    Wish you a speedy delivery.

For sure. I just meant painful 'coz i sold my '12 Duke 200 in december for this new 390 which makes it much harder. I asked for a temp registration but its not going to happen here in Bangalore, the bike has no RTO approval yet. Hope you have lots of safe miles and lasting smiles.

As for the orange colored fork seals, I saw it on the display bikes in couple of showrooms but none of the delivered bikes seem to have it. Hope its just the dust ring like s1d pointed out and that KTM are not selling us the old non-split function 390 forks.

Here are some pics of the new D390, Orange & White. The orange thing on the front forks people are curious about is I think just a decorative add-on which you can see on the White model (see below) but not in Orange one.
I sat on the bike and the seat height appears to have been increased a bit as I wasn't able to fully place both my feet on the ground.
I didn't like the LCD screen that much and prefer instead an illuminated traditional console with an rpm meter.

Tragically, this is why I had to give up on the new Duke. I tested it out and it was way too tall for me

I think can be sorted out once you adjust the rear mono shock.

Would you mind telling me how much you got for your 200?
My bike is also the 2012 model with around 40k on the clock.
I have been offered Rs 47k? It's been 2 years it has been sat in the garage
And I am. Ot sure when I'd be back in Mumbai so have decided to sell it off. It'd be very difficult
parting with me as it has tremendous emotional value for me but it's not getting any road time and dont want the
Mumbai weather just munch through it....what would be a decent price?

owned a 200 from 2012 to 2014. munched 32k kms and finally parted with it for 86k (cost of the bike was 1.56L in 2012 - Bangalore OTR).

Will give you another perspective - owned a 390 for little over a year (bought it in April 2015 and sold it in December 2016). OTR Bangalore was around 2.3L. Selling price was 1.45L. Had clocked 17k kms on the 390. Was offered as low as 90k due to DeMo! But finally found a good home for the hooligan.
I am unaware of Two wheeler seconds market in Mumbai, hence can't put a price tag.
Hope the above information about the 200 & the 390 helps you in ascertaining a price for your beloved hooligan!

                Cheers!

I am afraid if you keep it any longer in the garage not only it is going down further in value but depriving someone else of riding this bike. There are now a lot of used Dukes in the market and so there is a pressure on the prices so the best thing you can do is first get it serviced by KTM and then look for a buyer and if anyone comes close to 70k you should let go of it.

Yes, RTO approval pending, 200 and 250 have it, not yet done for the 390.

I sold it at the end of 2016 fearing that with a new year, prices would go down further. Mine was '12 one too and had a rear suspension leakage, sold it to a dealer associated with the showroom and got 60k for it, a bit too less considering i had replaced the tyres 2 months ago. But yes, a well kept bike should do about 55-60k right now, since its BS3. Not sure if its lesser but like others said, you'd better sell it off now.

Secondly the bank loan processing n stamp duty charges were waived off and even the ROI was good for March. But due to the delay in getting stock, KTM isn't accepting the down payment money and as KTM isn't providing the down payment receipt, bank is unable to disburse loan and have said that in April the ROI will change and even the waiver offer will lapse.

Update :: Will get the bike in stock only on 10th April.

Same prob, but the showroom I booked accepts downpayement, the problem is even if u pay downpayement; to disburse loan the bank needs the insurance paper also for which u need chasis number.

Ask your bank to disburse the loan amount to your account 'if' you have an account in the same bank.
DNS bank in my case is ready to disburse the loan amount in my account and then I can pay KTM.

Last week, a video showing a bunch of employees at KTM Nedumangad, Kerala, over-revving brand new KTM Duke 250 and 390 motorcycle went viral. Here's the aftermath.

They have acted and it's good for long term customer satisfaction.
