@GS: Look at the link I had given about that KUBOTA Diesel engine. It has an oil cooled head(properly oil-circulated, not 220, ZMR type oil-cooling) and air-cooled bore!

TPFC stands for Transient Power Fuel Control. It was nothing but just squirting more fuel at top revs.Originally posted by velociraptor13 View Post

With that regards, i think on the R15 you cant even sit long enough for 50-60 kms, the wrists start aching! Stance wise, the seat is great, yes could have had better cushioning. Narrow??!! you need to take a ride again.Originally posted by gsferrari View PostThe front brakes on the R15 and Apache are much better. Zma's front brakes are mushy at best.
No comment required on an established legendary bike.
Great for up to 100kms. Anything beyond that and the seat is just too soft...I believe even Bike India had the same comments about the seat. It is too narrow and too soft."Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"

Nope, No pains what so ever. R15 does have sporty riding stance but on ride or on highway...there is no pblm with R15, But yes in Traffic it will trouble arms and wrists.Originally posted by myg124 View PostWith that regards, i think on the R15 you cant even sit long enough for 50-60 kms, the wrists start aching! No way!! I have been using my R15 for touring, daily office commute et al. No pains whatsoever. As long as ur properly seated and crouched, no issues.Originally posted by myg124 View PostWith that regards, i think on the R15 you cant even sit long enough for 50-60 kms, the wrists start aching! Have been using R-15 for the past one month, with two rides out of the city. I would say, Zma has the comfy ride, both in city as well as highway. Never felt pain while riding Zma with my office laptop backpack, but I am having pain in my shoulders with the same back pack while riding to office.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Rotary engines always had high wear rate to the sealants, also the rotor tip sealants and not the rotor itself. RX7 won so many races including 24 hours daytona race which is also considered as a benchmark for reliability.Originally posted by velociraptor13 View PostThey had rotary engines right?Cooling and lubrication was quite complex.I guess The wear and tear of the rotors were more and it suffered from overheating on the long run.
TPFC does squirt fuel, but not at top revs, but every time when the throttles is twisted. During sudden throttle opening, the A/F ratio will get lean abrubtly and gain back. TPFC made sure that there was always extra fuel for the extra kick in accleration.Originally posted by Aparajith View PostTPFC stands for Transient Power Fuel Control. I just did 1000km from Bombay to Bangalore in 16 non-stop hours on the Karizma (Saturday Sept 19th). My butt tells me that this seat could have been better (read wider and stiffer). Yep it is narrow with zero support for the inner thighs.Originally posted by myg124 View PostNarrow??!! you need to take a ride again.Kriss : 15.06.1981 - 11.10.2009

Seems R-15 owners cannot accept that R-15 is not as comfortable as Karizma. I never said you cannot tour for long hours on R-15, you can do, but with less comfortablity than a ZMA. I have been using R-15 and had used ZMA for 2.5 years. One of our xbhpin who recently bought R-15 after using ZMA for a year had the same opinon after a long tour. That is all I can say.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

I agree with your point there, the R15 is made for the track and it is not as comfortable as ZMA for touring purposes. long hours of driving is not what the R15 prefers you use it for. However, the ZMA doesn't have an issue with that...moreover it favours long riding situationsOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostSeems R-15 owners cannot accept that R-15 is not as comfortable as Karizma. Ravi anna, I just wanted to point out that wrist pains etc are gone once we get used to the bike, in my case at least. Maybe its not the case with everyone. Sorry if I sounded like the R15 is as comfortable as the ZMA. You're right, the R15 can never be as comfy as the ZMA. Its a different seating posture, its all about getting used to it.. anyway you have much more experience than me, what you say is true.
I just posted in reply to myg who was convinced even though Aparijit said the R15 is not uncomfortable..
Gonna stop here, sorry for the OT guys....!!!
ZMR looks are growing on me day by day, big-bike look?? Definitely
Engine can only be better than the current ZMA, and that's really something! Can't wait to ride it when some one buys it here....!!
