There is also a GT650, which is a naked street bike.
The difference in both the bikes is just that the "R" variant gets a full fairing and low set clip on handlebars.
By the way there is also a 650"S" variant which had a fixed half fairing (a la P220 type).
All the three variants belt out the same power and torque figures.

MV Augusta
Is it just me, or is the front light design a complete rip-off?
Have you seen the multistrada and the pulsar 220 and the 999 as well '

I Wish Hyosung should have brought in 250 R. Then it would have been awesome. Please can someone convey my message to the MD of hyosung ??Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostAll copyrights to Bike India.

Visually, the GT250R and the 650R look so alike that it 650r owners might feel a bit shortchanged.
I looked at the GT250R, thinking that it was a 650 and I was mistaken. Then I saw a 650 later and thought, there's a 250R! And I was wrong again...

Which bike has more chance of making more profit?Originally posted by RISHIS View PostI Wish Hyosung should have brought in 250 R. Then it would have been awesome. Please can someone convey my message to the MD of hyosung ??
The GT250R when the Ninja 250R is already on our roads?
or the GT650R which has no current competitor right now in India?

Its not the question of profit, its the question of demand. If there is a market for 250cc and there is a product in the stables why not play it ??? especially if the market demands it ?????Originally posted by payeng View PostWhich bike has more chance of making more profit?

IMHO, the Indian market is governed by how a bike looks - the GT250R looks much bigger than the Ninja and has a lot of bells and whistle not found on the Ninja 250R - front double disc, 150 rear, USD forks and overall bigger bike look. If the price is even Rs.30,000 lower, the Ninja is going to face some serious heat.Originally posted by payeng View PostWhich bike has more chance of making more profit?

The lower bhp and the acceleration/speed should not bother its sales. Nor should its slightly lower quality of plastics. There are very few consumers in India who can see past that.
