GT650R FI (79bhp) is going to be priced well as the comet was when you compare it with the ninja so i'm expecting 4 lakhs ex showroom.

if the comet come's also we cannot buy it spending 4.50 lakhs because no proper service will be there,already comet 250cc came and gone,so we cannot realy again them...

+1 Apart from the bike, we need a proper SC too for it tobe maintained and for a newcomer a TIE-UP with existing Indian make or heavy investment could only settle this issue in beginning.

i see no such news in bikeindia.in website ...

i think the GT650R also will cost a bomb here as it will cost almost 6k-7k $ in US market

dear nagoo, if you read the bike India magazine, you will find these 2 bikes coming to India. This news is not on their website but it is definitely there in the mag August issue

That is why the main question...........which is the company that would be offering marketing and service in India ?????? I hope Bike India has hinted it out in their article,maybe its M&M completing the job done by Kinetic or maybe LML,in order to see their good days again.

Just did some maths.

The comet 650 costs 5500$ in US.
5500$ = 2,47,000 Rs. (scale used: 1$ = 45 Rs)
Add to that the 105% import duties and it translates to 5 Lakh.

Bring it via CBU route and you are looking at something around 3.5 to 4 lakh Rs.
