The CBZ Xtreme doesn't have anything common to the Honda Tiger of Indonesia.

Actually the Honda Tiger of Indonesia has always had a 200 cc Engine (196.9 cc to be exact).
There is another 156 cc bike called the Honda Mega Pro in Indonesia with simpler/basic styling.

What Hero Honda (and India) got in 1998 was the "156 cc engine of the Mega Pro + the clothes of the first generation Honda Tiger" = CBZ (Classic)for India. That was some "Remix"..!!

In Indonesia, the Honda Tiger has evolved in styling over time while retaining the same 200 cc engine.

    • Bang on Payeng, thats why I said I said "like"

I faintly remember the CBZ extreme being a rehash of another Honda bike, that one I guess also had the front head lamps which were asymmetrical! (will have to plunge into the ocean of WWW)

Ken da... too much office work just pick and drop these starting from MGs post on the thread please!

Those engines have got not even as much to do as Bajaj has to do with Ninja.... its a different machine altogether....

But there are rumours of a RTR based motard being conceptualised.... (lol back on thread)

            • All the companies are very clever in mixing up engines, their parts, their clothes and design, depending upon the requirement of the region of sale.

A gold old article on engines of Honda:

On the Problem of the Honda XR200

The power mainly depends on compression and size of Carb. As can be seen, size of Carb is the main difference between CBZ-X and Unicorn.

The small single cylinder HOnda bikes all over the world (barring our Twister) use one of below mentioned configurations and then with some more alterations. Happy reading.

              A few insertions by me:

Welcome to xBhp. This has been discussed to death some years ago. Hyosung is NOT coming back!

This is a 2010 Speculation discussion.

Secondly Yamaha and everybody else know that if that prehistoric Fazer 250 comes to India with 21Bhp at 2L, it is a sure recipe for disaster!

Just check the prices in the countries that the Fazer has been doing the rounds.

                              • SZ having a 125cc air cooled engine is a bad news. Its the same mill on that Gladiator, not much to complain but.........nothing new.Yamaha is doing this the Bajaj way then.It wasted the dynamic FZ16 and Fazer with lower power output engines and then its wasting the SZ with the same glue again.

What has gone into their minds???? Hunk,Acheiver and CBZ-X from Hero Honda and Discover 135,XCD Sprint 135 and P135LS from Bajaj???

Yamaha being a company which has a 125cc liquid cooled engine sold in Europe and 165cc engine developed and gathering rust in India is doing this????

Do they even remember that their R15 changed it all here in India by going up against P220,ZMA and RTR180 being just a 150cc???

SZ wid the Gladiator's engine is a very silly bike. The new YBR110 has no takers,as if the Alba and the G5 were bad enough in that it dint sell like Platina ,

Yamaha shud realize that people buy Yamaha for performance and not for fuel saving.
