First up, a big hello. I've been following a hell lot of threads on this site, but this is my first post!

I've not been on 2 wheels since I had an RX100, which was eventually sold 2 years ago when I had to leave the country. Since then I've been trudging around in a Maruti800 for the last few months after my return to B'Lore. And I'm still waiting for something in the 2-4 lac range which can get my heart pumping again. I've thought many a time about the baby Ninja..but somehow, something feels missing. Wonder how much longer I got to wait....

You won't have any option in that range in future. The best you can get is the Ninja 250 which churns out 33ps. If someday any manufacturer decides to come out with another 250cc then also it won't churn out more than 33ps based on the European regulation for 250cc bikes.
Honda will be launching a 250cc this year but it will churn around 27-28ps max.

RE is transforming their whole lineup so it won't be that long when you should see the 500EFI unit on the Thunderbird.

That was not a typo but I mentioned the maximum limit. The minimum can be 24ps according to my theory and knowledge of the market.

Yes they are, confirmed from multiple sources but yeah the final cc can be 300too.
