My question was,is and will be is that after so many years in the motorcycle busniness of INDIAn manufacturers and taking lessons from the JV's they had with foriegn firms, BAJAJ with KAWASAKI, TVS with SUZUKI, and now BAJAJ having shares in the KTM, why they are taking so much time to develop a home grown parellel twin 4 valve 250??

I DOnt think there will be limited or few takers of it.... look at the sucess story of NINJA and R15, both are by the FIRMS who do not belong to INDIA.

And look at us, depending on the JAPS to feed us with a performance bikes cuz our indian manufacturers are so busy making profits out of 100,102,107,108,110,125,135,150,160,180,200,220,22 3 CC bikes.

Thank god they left the 115 CC segment, and i wont be surpriced if at the end of the year BAJAJ comea up with 115CC discover and surely we'll have ba 115CC sefment with BAJAJ as the king os sales in it followed closely by a new bike from TVS, and YAMAHA stables.

I mean they want to fill each and every segment, if they conduct a survey and will find that a certain region of india will be happy with 170CC bike to then we will surely have PULSAR170 and RTR170 in the line up.

            well said.

              • The bike looks nice but still the real picture would be clear only when it hits the showrooms. I hope it is fuel injected?

PERSEVERE... failure is not an option!

I highly doubt Honda would fit their PGM-Fi system in the trusted carbed Unicorn!

                    • There is no need for costly FI technology for Unicorn's engine. The Unicorn's carburetted engine is so good. Honda is doing a big blunder if they are using the same unicorn mill without "significant" power bump up for CB Dazzler. Nobody is expecting a rear disk and styling just with the a puny 150cc mill, which will make the bike very pricey.

Honda will see success only if the engine is significantly powered up (may be with bigger cc). Otherwise, it would just go the way of Stunner FI.

                      • PGM-FI coupled with a more powerful Unicorn mill would be great I believe I don't think it's launch is too far now, may be a couple of months! Let's hope.

+1 More like a 180cc. But i am sure Honda wont be doing it.Instead they will in all probability plonk in the same uptuned Unicorn engine (CBZ-Xtreme/Hunk ones)

                          • The wheels on the Unicorn Sports concept seems to be of 17" size.. the monoshock / absense of twin rear shocks are more obvious now (one hardly notice it on the Unicorn).

                              +1 to your +1.

Expecting it to be CBZ-X engine. Even more power (implies more price) to that..I prefer ZMA better buy over it.
