        What exactly is the problem?

The front end is too heavy for you?

        Try tightening the clutch.

I kept the bike moving at speed 10-15...then i slightly applied the rear brakes as a result the front shocks were compressed and then i pressed the clutch and immediately released it while accelerating the bike...

I also tried the clutch slipping method with a bit acceleration....and yes the front end is too heavy...(bike weght 149kg).... after slipping the clutch i accelerate the bike and simultaneously pull the handlebar..

            try this .
ride at 10-15 in first gear . now press the clutch and quickly rev to atleast 6-8k rpms . when u reach the mentioned rpms leave the clutch in one go . front should be in air

Yep he's correct most people don't release the clutch in one go but revving up so hard is that too be done till 8k rpm a mere 4.5k+ would settle i believe being a beginner i dont think so revving so hard is advisable correct me puneet if i m wrong

yeah start slow i advise . but he said gsr is not easy to lift so said to rev a bit more .

another thing to note is to sit a bit at the back of the seat so more weight is at rear than at front .

                  Cannot carry wheelie on GS150R...

Thanx to all of you guys..The advice which you gave worked... Now i can lift the bike...but cannot carry it on....i will learn it...but all my friends are telling me that gs150 is not good for doing stunts...the engine might have to suffer lot of strain...
Can anyone tell me what is the safer method of doing wheelie without causing damage to the engine...????

dont pull the throttle very much say not more than 6k rpm's listen for engine sound on two wheels and during wheelie compare find the optimum level your bike can do, wheelie safe

I tried this on my R15 and the forks get decompressed and I get a sudden boost of acceleration but the front wheel doesnt come off the road
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Guys wheelies are not about power, though weight is of an concern.

                        1) Get your machine roling at a speed of around 10kph in the first gear.

                        2) Sit bit behind as compared to your normal riding position.

                        3) Pull the clutch and accelerate till say about 4K RPM.

                        4) Let the clutch slip as you are accelerating for a drag race.

                        5) Always be ready to use your rear breaks (If the bike goes beyond your control, you can easily get it down by applying rear breaks.)

                        6) Once you have mastered in popping try to go further with more acceleration and control the height using Rear Breaks.

Thumb Rule >> Never get Panicked.

I mentioned 4K RPM to start with and to get a feel. Once you get a feel you can slowly increase the RPM to get better height. And Once you feel the engine vibs and sound no need to check the RPM meeter.

Hope it helps to get started.

All the best and please follow safety riding.

Even though I am learner of wheelies as well and I can just run my wheelies for 20-30 mtrs. here is how I learnt it so far..

first of all.. don't do wheelies on moving position.. trust me.. you can't just learn safe way while you're doing wheelies in 10-15 speed if you have never done before..

first of all.. Just be in 0 position. Sit at your back sit. now, give throttle and leave the clutch.. give it around 6-7rpm.. if that's not enough then give it more.. and make sure bike goes to around balancing point... Just keep doing this.. Just keep getting proper hight of wheelie for few days and after a week or so.. try doing wheelie in rolling position..

for rolling position.. do the same as you do for popping up wheelie but before releasing clutch... Just press rear break so it will almost stop your wheele and then pop the wheelie. that way you can even pop a wheelie in 60% throttle.
