How about some tips on holding the pop? Even the neighbour's 14-yr old can pop a wheelie after a few scary experiences, but holding it for a decent distance is what matters, right?

I tried learing from YouTube: MCN's guide to wheelies and Buell Stunt lessons. The pop became less scarier, but at the same time, I am not able to hold it. Pulling at the handlebar almost always ruins the balance and results in lower heights. Same goes for pushing the bottom a bit towards pillion seat; the bike raises good, but weaves around a little. BTW, I have a 2005 CBZ* with fairly new clutch plates.

Does reducing the tyre pressure go a long way in making the bike sustain the one-wheel run??

it seems like we all here can pop a wheelie but cannot keep it up for long... my wheelies on R15 too stays up only for a few secs.. .
It would make a big difference if the pros would post a step by step video of the correct procedure for Indian bikes and help us learn. Lets hope for the best.

@ the gurus of wheeling.. is it easier to pop a wheelie on a SBK..?? since it has so much power i was wondering what would be the trick to pop a wheelie on my Gixxer.???

reducing d pressure wil help u in balancing d bike on rear wheel,as more area of tyre is in contact wid ground.bt fr carrying a wheelie wats imp is practice,,practice nd practice..u urself wil com 2 know abt a balancing point while giving d throttle, where d bike dont flip or get down..u need to give small amount of trottle......hope i am correct....(vijay bro jst hav a look on it)

^^ Thanks guys. I have been practicing with a friend on weekends for around an hour, but the result after 3-4 sessions is still a small pop. I will try reducing the pressure this time and see if I can get a more stable raise by sitting on the pillion seat.

                      wheelie and stoppie on activa???

is it possible to pull off a wheelie and stoppie on a honda activa 100cc??? i've seen pics of people doing it on a honda Dio and i know dere ain't much of a difference between the previous versions of dio and activa, but since it doesn't have gears to shift to, i'd highly appreciate it if someone could advice me on how to pull it off....a step by step guide would be good

                      thanks

That means you are having way more torque in 1st gear than required. And shifting on a WHEELIE will take ages of practice to get into perfection. TRY it only if you have a bike in spare like the one which you donot ride oftenly. Donot try on regular usage bike, otherwise you will end up with Damaged Crank, Head block, damaged clutch plates and overall you will have to overhaul your engine.
