I had XCD prior to RTR, its difficult to that if you are trying for clutch wheelie, but yes you need to use your arms to pull it up.

I can't believe it!!! I had a Caliber 115 prior to the P220. And pulling a clutch wheelie purely from engine power was a piece of cake!! Though I haven't been able to pull a clean wheelie on the P220 as easily as yet.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

^^ No idea as both were 9.5BHP and XCD was 5kg less, but I had to use my arms to pull it up, and due to its tyres , it never stayed for long

Holding a wheelie is difficult on a low capacity machine. One can try doing a wheelie with a pillion or by putting more weight on the rear side of the bike by standing on it with the left leg on the pillion foot peg, which would help.

hey dudes, "who said we need power full bikes to Do wheelie"

it aint problem what cc bike are we can do wheelies as easy as it is low power

Wheelie is all about "break balancing" and "body balancing"

Yes that's true, there are two types of wheelies, clutch wheelie and power wheelie. One needs to use clutch on the low capacity bikes, but if the bike has enough power, there's no need for clutch, while moving in the first gear just shut the throttle and open it up and here You go, the front wheel is up in the air. But to be able to do a clutch wheelie successfully it takes some practise to get the clutch control.

U cant powerwheelie the bikes sold here. If u wanna powerwheelie, u either need a sprocketed Classic 180 or a 220 with swingarm cut short. Clutch wheelie is anyday better on any bike regardless of how powerful it is. Clutch wheelies are way more controlled and easier to balance.

                          • Wheelie by surprise

Well to begin I am not a regular wheelie guy. But I love to be one. The other day I was casually drive my bike on a almost deserted long road near redhills. A guy in front of me about 500 mts fell down. To my despair no one was around so I raised my FZ in second gear to reach him as soon as possible. But suddenly with all the right combination of pull and release of clutch. I found that I was doing a wheelie for about 20-30mtrs. I was scared to death as I was not planning on such a thing to happen. Then went to the guy and You can expect a good reaction from the guy. Now this was a fluke by far but When I tried doing it again No luck. Anyway Dropped the idea felt it was too dangerous as I was heavily built. Anyway best of luck to all you learners of wheelie.

Smile at everyone you meet and make someone happy.

Any 200NS guy here??? Need a little help doing wheelie.
At what RPM should I release my clutch to pop up the front of my stock NS at 1st gear from standstil position?
I am guessing, all the NS hav same setup hence same timing for releasing clutch.

I have a KTM Duke 200. Its a bloody powerful machine. I did manage some 1st gear pull ups but they lasted only for a moment before the rubber kissed mother earth again. I would love to know the right way to wheelie. What i do is pull the clutch, rev the engine up to around 7-9k rpm and keep it there. I then release the clutch immediately to pull up the tyre. I know its too noobie stuff but i just bought the bike on the 1st of this month and the first service was done just last saturday. In short, its a new bike and i have many concerns. I would be moving up the ladder soon but i what i need to know right now is if the way i am doing it is a good start for a novice or not. Pros, please guide!
