      • Hi guys .
first of all congratulations to all the proud owners of the mighty fz1 and thanks to all the members here for the input . Currently i am in possesion of a Ninja 250 r and have thought of upgradin . I always have had a soft corner for full faired bikes . But i dont want something only for the sunday rides and fz1 is the one i am zeroing down on . But due to nature of my job i have to stay abroad for months. So can anyone tells me as how the whole process starts. Do the dealer gets the bikes for me if i pay him the booking amount because i will be comeing back in aug and want the bike ready when i arrive. Finance would be dealt in 2 to 3 days time . Only problem is availability.

        Thanks guys once again

          Hi Friends,

I have now made up my mind for FZ1 and need your expert opinion to clarify some doubts.

My Bike search story started in 2010 when Hyosung GT 650 R was launched , I sold my one year old P220 just by knowing that hyosung are launching there bikes , took personal loan of 2 lacs (which is finished this month i.e. Dec 2012) but all excitment went down when i first saw GT650 R ( everybody knows why) .
Then came news of 2011 Ninja 650R launch so i made up my mind for ninja , but same goes for Ninja ( I hated it's sound).
Then in Jan 2012 Autoexpo when triumph announced about there plans for india i was very much excited.

Till date Daytona 675 was finalized but i am now getting impatient and started loosing faith is triumph launch plans in india.

I always loved the full faired super bike. In the mean time I bought Duke 200 and Boy that bike made me Fan of naked bikes. The riding stance , the power delivery , handling all was spot on. All this broke my perception and i realized that riding naked bikes can also be lot of fun.

The way I love riding my Duke made me rethink my Decision that although like most of us I also love Full faired bike but Naked are easy to ride with there riding stance and more practical.

There is nothing that I don't like about FZ1 , Thing I like most is the Sound of that I4 engine , everything else i.e power/handling is yet to be experienced so can't comment on them.

My only concern is at 210 Kg is it manageable at low speeds (<50) , also the power 150 PS, is it scarily fast or forgiving at low revs.

Also i read that in Fz1 torque comes at lower RPM compared to R1 , So in Fz1 you don't have to rev it as much as R1 , Does that make Fz1 scary at low speeds compared to R1.

I just want to be prepared to handle 150PS.

After a long time postin here !
Bikes doing great oing to be a year and 8 months with her .... its been an absolute joy this time !!
bikes dong 10.7k kms !! 3 services over
done a few mods, got the puig fly screen which helps till aout 140 kmph after that you have to bend down but thats a joy as the tank press against the chest and feel a whole lot confident !
              the belly pan also added

The best things about the bike
              the torque is just brilliant
the power kick in after 7k rpm is insane (it can give you the shivers )
City riding is awosum except for the heat !!
I4s are a joy to the ears my od i love the sound when change the gears at high revs !!

              Some problems im facings are:
having some vibes on the handle bars when driving around 112 to 119 kmph after that it smoothens out
Punctures !!!!!! crazy i tell you.. have one major puncture which keeps openings up will be giving it for a heat repair soon

Thats it for now will update later

all you new / going to be owners pour in your questions
              cheers

Its an ideal litre class bike for the indian roads, once u saddle up 210kgs doesnt matter much, except when ur pushing the bike out of the garage. It is a peach in low revs, overall its an easily adaptable, fun superbike. And u need not worry much about high octane fuel as well. That shud be ur major concern.

Is the FZ1 in its Fazer clothing available in India? If not can it be dressed up here? With fairing, dual lights and windscreen...

Can anyone who owns a Fazer FZ1 post a pic?

                    Thanks a ton.

                        hello all,

its been a while(6 months approximately) since i have acquired FZ-1, journey so far has been nothing less than amazing
It is a pre-owned and a well maintained one(i can now confidently say that)

must say thats its one of the most practical super bike available right now, did close to 6000kms on the fz which includes the riding it down from MUMBAI to HYDERABAD on the very first day, couple of rides to places like srisailam, anantgiri hills(in and around hyderabad) not to mention the break-fast ride almost every weekend

Its a perfect example of " wolf in sheep's clothing", will come up with a detailed ownership soon

meanwhile posting couple of pics taken at lonavala(on first day of my ownership)

Indeed its one amazing wolf in shepherds clothing ... if you ask me...

Really love the fact that the pics seen has some road dirt on it... most litre class bikes here are hardly ridden like that, like a proper bike should... Piece of cake to do Mumbai - Pune etc but Mumbai - Hyd on an FZ1 is something i'm dying to delve into mate... Thanks for posting up... do give us fans of the underdog FZ1, something to chew on quick.

It is extremely practical and second least molested import on Indian rds after say the Bandit maybe. One extremely strong reason for a buy in my books...

Nice pics... please post more from your trip.

                              Cheers.

This is the reason in bought the FZ-16 A mini copy. (Till i'm mature enough for a litre class and have enough greens)
This beast is way more brutal than its compititors. Has more power and with relatively no technological controls (read TC, ABS) and gives the pleasure of pure motorcycle riding. Pure bliss if you ask me.

                                Ride safe and have fun.
