Thanks for the info, I too have got test drives from Triumph, like the bike due to its sheer manageability around the city traffic (Bangalore traffic). I would have loved to check the Z800 once. A Short drive would help me make my mind, let me have a check this weekend at Kawasaki show room.

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
Just one question ,im a little rusted at 55yrs , did u owners learn the art of throttle control taking sharp U turns with this bike ? i would love to master it and practice on a empty parking lot .I found the slow speed stabilty as great on this bike . Thats one of my initial plan ie to find out the actual turning radius( i guess it wont be as bad as a sport bike, any idea guys?)

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
^ That depends on two factors. The rake angle and the height of handle bar. The Z will turn in more easily than a supersports. As the bars are much higher. But not as nimble as say a 250. There is a big transverse mounted engine block between your legs. And that causes most of the control characteristics. Still a Yamaha FZ1 with even more upright bars is more difficult to turn in sharply.

I am sharing my observation till now... have done around 4000 km on the zee in 4 months.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostHey guys, whats the average tank range that you get from this bike?
Tank range was 240-250 km if ridden constantly around 120-140 kmph with occasional burst of 200+
Tank range was 200-210 km with occasional red lining and hard acceleration ( cross wind as well)
Avg tank range in my opinion should be around 220-225 km...

doesnt matter what fuel you fill... most riders get 16 in city and around 20-21 on highway... including me.. so if this person is getting 20-21 in city.. it should be empty roads like highways..Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostMy friend doesn't go that speed inside city as roads are not free. He drives at 75-80 kmph at 6th gear...and occasional blast upto 120...he uses Speed from BP bunk. I guess that 91 RON + Additives.
about furl, there has been discussions on it.. the fuel doesnt matter .. i have used Shell Super and normal.. no diff whatsoever ... the bike feels the same..

Which part of Bangalore are you based? i got the test ride for the 800 from Indiranagar without any hassles. they even let me take it for a decent spin and not just around the corner....Originally posted by ifthi View PostHi,
Firstly congrats on the bike
Can you please confirm the mileage
City = ??
highway = ??
I am looking for a bike, currently cannot decide between street triple and Z800.
As i read through the threads, i have similar concerns Kawasaki does not provide test drive where as I had driven the street triple.
also.. not to offend anyone.. but when you are buying a powerful bike, do you really look at the fuel efficiency... with roads like in India.. you cant expect too much.. just highways will give you some relief on the wallet...

I for one do look at the mileage, but, but only to calculate the tank rangeOriginally posted by vijith.unnithan View Postdoesnt matter what fuel you fill... most riders get 16 in city and around 20-21 on highway... including me.. so if this person is getting 20-21 in city.. it should be empty roads like highways..

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
Completed first servicing. At Rs. 7500/- The bike now has became more responsive. I am preparing a write up. Will post it in coming days.
New addition is a Puig next gen windscreen. For 7500/- The difference is significant. I can now maintain steady 120-150 kmph without much strain. Earlier,speeds from 120 and above were distracting.

It costs me same to service my NInja 300 including oil. Its in the range of 6000-7500. But service interval of twice or max thrice a year makes it ok.

Thats a nice looking flyscreen. From where did you buy it? 7.5K is good price IMO.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostCompleted first servicing. At Rs. 7500/- The bike now has became more responsive. I am preparing a write up. Will post it in coming days.

Service interval of the Z800 is same as of the ninja 300... 6000-7500 for each service? :O :O I never paid that much for my ninja 300.
