Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
Regarding the Japs in kawasaki india , there are three of them absolutely commited . No casual talk ; use a Samsung 2000 RS phone ( no smart phone ) laptop has no other mail except with kawasaki but if a a valid question is posed they will go to the heart of it

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
There are 4 variants IMO. A, B, C and D. A makes 113PS (what we get in india). others make 90 and 47Bhp. Also rear suspension adjustment on our bikes is different than B, C and D variants.Originally posted by drsureshmohan View PostFor kawasaki I think just 2 models , regular and E which is 47 bhp for a certain license level

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
Copied from that forum :well what can I say,* the 1st run pre remap showed a very poor 78 at the back wheel,* but once Jeff worked his magic my z800 now has 100 at the rear wheel + an extra 10lb of torque* :020:* the bike now has power right through the range, runs so sweet. Instant throttle response and so smooth,* very happy with the results.* I will post the data sheet up later

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
So, the 112/113 bhp one showed 80 bhp at the wheel? On the dyno? Before the ECU re-flash?
You can see what I'm hinting at. If this is the case with the Z800, maybe even the Street Triple showed 78 bhp on the dyno, though rated at 105 bhp at the crank. If this is the case, then the entire de-tune fiasco can be put to rest.

Re: Kawasaki Z800 - Dream Comes True
manufacturers never give BHP on wheel on website... they always publish the power at crank and if it shows 80 then again the same crap is happening with z800 as well.Originally posted by hifisharu View PostSo, the 112/113 bhp one showed 80 bhp at the wheel? On the dyno? Before the ECU re-flash?

ideally with those x-ring chains of superbikes the loss should not be more than 10-12 bhp at max..
for any bike p220 cbr 250 etc .. all power figures are at crank and same with superbikes.. power at wheel is never published..."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."
