IF the engine revs ok in lower gears then try this. Get on to an open strech, rev the engine more that 8k in 3rd then shift to 4th still keeping it abv 8k then move to 5th gear. Now it should be all good. If so, then the CDI is not able to switch to power band (this switch happens at 6.5 to 7k rpm) in 5th gear. This is a flat spot, but more noticable when you ve a worn out chain/sprocket.
and if u feel if its because of rust... disconnet thye tank.. and pour some fuel through the carb inlet.. this eleminate fuel/rust related issue...
if u feel its cdi... get a frnds comet and swap the cdi and rev the bike in nuetral...
