Hey Guys

1st of all it feels great to post on XBHP after such a long time .

Was a active member when i used to own CBZ and had a great time discussing on forum and still like to read the discussions of other fellow members .


Ok now let's come to Comet



Last week was just going through a classified website and saw this comet , called him up immediately and spoke about it .

Went in the evening to meet the guy who was very humble and took a test ride of the bike .

Man ....... after the test ride i fell in love with it as the bike was in great shape and had only done 7700 odd kms ..

Bit negotiations were done and handed over him advance and yesterday made full and final payment and got the bike home .

Posting few pics of the bike , also changed engine oil to Motul 7100 on Day 1 itself .

Superb bike, just love it and congrats. . . What's the price you paid it and which model is it. . ?

i paid 85k for the bike ... its a 2005 model

i don't know whether i paid the right price or not but the bike is in healthy shape !!

Got custom made exhaust at my factory !!

Its made of Stainless Steel 304 grade ( one of the best quality steel ) .

Flanges are cut by Waterjet for that perfect fit .

Original muffler weighs 4.2kgs exact this weighs 800gms in total . so saved some weight from a hefty bike :P

Also removed catcon ... throttle response got better and its sounds amazing, though its very Loud .

great deal, as there were two Comets on sale here and one was priced as 1.5Lac who said it's in good condition and the other asked for 1.25L and said still there is some work for the bike to be made, which would cost around 10k extra. . . I think you got a good deal, once again congrats. . .

@chiragh : thats a hOOt of a bike & in rather well-maintained state too... the exhaut u've fit must be a waking-up-the-neighborhood types for sure

even my bike needs some work but yes its a good deal and bike runs very well without any hiccups and still a head turner

guys any idea about the battery ?

I tried Exide 14 amp battery , but it does not fit in !!

The same size ones cost 3 times ... what to do ?

Wonderful acquisition, but just want to add a point here, go for branded exhaust, in long run this custom exhaust will effect the engine life.

Best would be contact KRP for all the issues.niggles,accessories,parts for your bike. They are in Delhi. They are little on the higher side but most of my friends get their sbks serviced from here
