    • Need some light on this... does anyone know what is the pipe under the petrol tank on the right side towards the seat. I feel there is a leak as i can smell petrol and some residues when i leave my bike overnight.... The pipe is left loose without being connected to anything...

      • i think that's the overflow pipe, same thing was happening to me, i don't know what exactly is the problem, but now i given my bike to servicing as i mentioned in my previous post, will ask the mechanic regarding it...

        • 500KM after the revamp of the Comet. i must say i never felt better. For now, 2 issues have come up one which i addressed on my earlier thread about the leak and now my front discs getting jammed. This happened yesterday when i was riding back home and i felt that the front brakes were getting stiff and i couldnt hold it.. then all of a sudden teh bike was coming to a stop... fwhen i tried to move the bike, i realised teh front brakes were stuck and the bike was not moving... i got some water and poured on teh disc's and pads and all i could see was steam as the disc were HOT... After liek 5 minutes, the brakes were released.. any idea why this is happening... and what can i do to fix it myself rather than run to a mech if its is simple.

took it to the Hyosung service centre which was closer to my place.. and as you told.. there was some air stuck in the pistons.... have left the bike as they had couple of 650's to be serviced so till i get it tomorrow, cant comment on how the service is....

to all the bangalore comet 250 riders, spares will be arriving in 2 months as per the showroom guys ... also, if we give them what we need they will try and arrange for it as well.. another news is that, am sure many are aware o fthis, the the 250 will be launched in April sometime and may be priced around 2-2.15 lacs as per the showroom manager....this agian may be the EFI model.. not sure though....

              • ^^ that's cool man, and it's very nice of them to acknowledge Hyosung's old son

also good to know their take on spare parts for older bikes, is there any Sevice Center here in Mumbai? coz even i would like to get the parts from them rather than paying hefty price to mechs for the same parts for importing them over here...

                • Is the service station of Hyosung Bangalore- that is Satya Mitra Motors in Cox Town?

The showroom is located at the above address, the service center is under the Cox Town flyover. Check for a building which sells Prestige Hardware. Its in the basement. There is no board or anything that says Hyosung or Garware, just red colored walls but once you walk in you will find a incomplete service center. They are yet to put many things in place.

                          • quick update on the service center... DISAPPOINTING ... thats all i can say... the issue with the front brakes was that there was air between teh piston that was jamming teh brakes... so they took 2 full days saying they need to do the entire process and cleaning and bleeding the brakes... yesteray i get a call from them saying they couldnt fix it because teh bleeding was only done 40% and the front brakes was not usable till it is fixed.. i was thinking.. its best to consult my trusted mechanic rather than depending on these so called service center folks....

the bleeding of the brakes should not take longer than 2 hours tops if you do it by the old method. if you have the right tools, it takes less than 15 minutes.

just double check if there is air between the pistons thats causing the issue . sometimes the seals go in a caliper and that can be a problem. the pistons essentially dont want to go back and get stuck jamming the brakes.

so just stick with them for the parts
