Engine oil

During 1st service of my Hyosung GT650R used Total Quartz 7000 10W40.Considering to use Motul 5100 10W40 for 2nd service.
Is using Motol 5100 10w40 engine oil better??

when you say battery charger.. do you mean the rectifier...

dunno, the thing that charges the battery.

anyway, the wire inside it was broken, hence there was no charging, joint it, and voila, working like a marvel

good to know pal... it was teh same with mine.. i thought it was a rectifier issue but when we opened up the bike.. the wiring was all messed up.. some even burnt... well.. the bike is getting revamped thanks to Sumit and Sunil's advice on the best mechanic .. Dr Irshad bhai...

How Hard to source Spares for Comet 250

Hey Guys, with my hunt for a 250-600CC naked bike still on... I would like to know how hard is it to source part for a comet. are there any sites that you order from or you can find one in town side shops?

Online, you can order it direct from Korea. Pretty much the cheapest option even after including duties you may have to pay. You can order from: hyosungsource.com

In Mumbai bacchoo motors keep some stock of clutch plates and some minor parts. Not everything though. You should check with them

I'm from bombay. Hyosungsource.com is the best place to order. I've ordered many times. No problems at all. I am contemplating selling my comet gt 250. I feel like making it into a cafe racer and then selling it. :-) great bike by the way. If used carefully, it is a minimum headache kinda bike.

Comet Stopped selling in 09 if i am correct, so should i look for an 09 model to be safe or any would do as long as its maintained well...

should i look for less than 10K kms one? or is that too much to hope for

as if its over 15K kms i think i will have to spend a few thousands in repairs / spares?

Which tires does the comet come with?

I think i have a seller lined up, he has a 04 model, Not sure about color / kms done, will find out by afternoon.

Update: saw the Bike last night it was an 04 Yellow Comet. the meter showed it had done only 9K kms which i am 100% sure its over 25K. The Engine sounded like its has hundreds of loose parts inside & and sounds of piston brushing the side wall was evident. Before checking the bike, I went to Youtube to listen to each engine sound of the GT 250 and the bike i saw was completely F'd up. Plus the RC book indicated it was Black originally & owner repainted it to yellow , still the owner had the balls to as 1 lacs for it.

Anybody know how much to quote for a Comet 250 2006, original yellow color, 20K + Kms, & VIP Number? The owner is asking 1.35lacs.
