The rectifier for my Comet is faulty and needs to be replaced. Any idea where i can get one or atleast get a substitute as my battery is not getting charged. I even got a new battery

Electricals are a problem area for the comets. Talk to Irshad (9886796809). He is a very good mech at Shivaji nagar. Even my Aquila had the same problem. He changed the rectifier to one from CBR400 I guess.

Sumit.pannallal knows him pretty well. U can give his reference.

That is where I bought my last rectifier when it broke. Shipping/delivery might take 2 weeks, but atleast the stuff is genuine

Unfortunately, the mechanic didnt have a spare one for the Comet as of now so i had to order it via HyosungSource.com, Hyosung Parts at Unbeatable Prices. It will cost you around 3l including shipping...

Any other options can only be suggested by other Comet riders.

All of you who want rectifiers for your Comet, pick up a Kinetic Blaze rectifier from any of the Mahindra dealerships. It is the same part.

Hey, i was thinking of maybe selling off my 220F and going in for a used Comet 250. Cos theres a world of difference in the feeling of riding a single pot and v-twin. I have a couple of queries though.
1) Looking at the approximate costs of spares scares me! Is it really that expensive to own a comet?
2) What's the top speed like? I've got varied answers from 130km/h to 165km/h.
3) How much should i pay for one? An approximate range would be great.
