  • There was some gear slip problem with my bike ...Took the bike to a mechanic he told me that there is some play for the clutch bell assembly. Will get solved once its corrected. As he said the problem got solved once its corrected.
I told him to change the clutch plates also since the case is getting opened.

As per his advice... Carbon deposit is removed from the piston and silencer also.
But after performing the cleaning when ever I'm giving sudden acceleration bike is suffering from 'missing' but there is no problem when slow acceleration is given.

Cleaned the carburetor and changed the Pin, Main jet and Pilot jet..But again the same problem. Is it because of the reason that I did't change head gasket when it is opened for cleaning? Can it happen because of any leakage because of old same gasket???

Though I don't know if this the cause of the problem you are facing, changing gasket when head is opened is mandatory. Infact, just yesterday Nitesh and Ganesh were discussing this point in a different thread

And elsewhere on the same sub-section asif and me have posted the quality of gaskets available these days. Try to get hold of genuine DC gasket kit and replace them would be my unsolicited 2p on this.

        Thanks Nithin for your input

Me doubts that could be the reason because the problem came immediately after performing the cleaning ... And I'am not much expert to confirm it..

great thread and your Rx100 looks fantastic.
It indeed needs a great deal of passion and dedication to bring this old beauty to such an immaculate condition.

The RX craze is still full on in bangalore and you can see lots of middle aged men not ready to let go their rx 100's
I see a 50 plus guy with an immaculate red Rx 100 everyday riding to work at not more 40 kmph. I am tempted to strike a deal with him
but the going price is not less than 35k for even the worst kept rx's here.
bore kit is difficult to get here now a days but you will get rest of the stuff.

You are inspiring me to do up 1997 rx 135 now

            • found the reason for getting the battery drained fully... it was idiot rectifier...

k100 rectifiers orginal ones are not available now...and the one fitted was one different made...and came to know that they are of poor quality...

The mechanic whom i met today told me to go for original RR unit of Royal Enfield with four plugs...it can be made suit to the winding I ve done...

Friends, what do you think in going for Royal Enfield 4 plug rectifier???

Many times, when the wire winding done, might not have completely tested is my gut feeling. That's exactly why I have gone for RDD Lighting kit which comes along with RR unit.

+1 for that eyedocsri, even I have a same situation here, but that guy is a priest late in his 50s with a red color screamer, but he's so stubborn, he won't let go off this bike! Many people have tried striking a deal with him, including myself from the help of my mechanic, but to no avail.

@Sanjithjoseph, that is one of the most beautiful Yammy mods I've seen. I've seen lots of cosmetic changes lately, but this is RX at its best! Legend reborn! DROOL!

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                  THE END

If you are sure that its from the same place then just replace tha crank case gasket with new one... dont go for chaging other oil seals if it is not really necessary....
Do a through water wash for the under body....and examine where it is from actually.
Let me know if you have changed gear oil recently..

I did not change the Oil Gear... I just changed the Engine Oil.... I think it is from the same place... It appears as if its coming from near to the side stand but it is actually from the gear box.... Having a very hard time..

                              Engine oil?!!
2T oil or Gear oil, which one you meant actually?
Do replace the crank case gasket with new one..if its gear oil that you have recently changed..
hope it will solve the problem..

Problem with my bike regarding the battery charging got solved..
Took the bike to the person who had done the winding and found the wiring connections given by the local mechanic was wrong..Corrected and now evertging is fine.
