    • ^Sanjith, good to know about the headlight upgrade. Can you share the detail of Philips parking bulb? Any speciality? Also post picture (tinypic.com ) so that I know how it looks like.

Treat in KL? Ok. I might visit KL during my Kuttralam ride. So be prepared will pull you out of house.

      • Got my Rx back from workshop ...
And I'm much satisfied with the glow from headlight...really powerful.
I can see the cars and other vehicles coming in opposite direction flashing their lights begging for mercy

Got to settle the amount with the mechanic...will post the details within 3 or 4 days.

Sanjith, don't get me wrong; compared to the stock headlamps, Xtreme 60/55 is certainly powerful, but, from my experience (I run 60/55 Xtreme over a year+), it isn't as powerful, probably, I might stand from CBR/Ninja's perspective or may be I hail from a place where 100/90 is common, but, it sure doesn't call for mercy.

Yes ... you may be right, since you are from a place where 100/90 is common.
At present winding done on my bike is for 100/90 W. But the bulb I have gone for is 60/55 W and I think that is enough and more.

Thanks for sharing your thought and experiance ...

I guess we all share the same setup; atleast I know, you, me, Sriram, Nithin. I wish to try the Osram nightbreaker or Palio's bulb, if you or anyone get hands on it, pls post an update. I'm not sure if they're compatible with CBR, Palio & Rx, if yes, I'd try & post.

                  • Sanjith - Just want to clear something; all the while, the bulb I was talking about is Philips Xtreme; cost close to Rs 400 & comes as a pair of two. This one is quite different; the Premium.

                    • Good to know Sanjith on the headlight upgrade. Wasn't tough to get the DCM Toyota doom fixed on to the headlight rim? I felt it was not when I tried to do it for my RX135.

Now, I'm in the same situation with RX100, have all the parts, including the Roots Ceramic socket holder/Pin. Will need some time and patience to get it clipped right so the beam alignment is correct.

                      • @ Sanjith to all others, Won't the bike timing be affected by the bigger generator? I mean, a stock plate has pre drilled holes which can't be adjusted to the correct timing. Will that be a problem here in Sanjith's bike which has a bigger coil & generates more current also, or am i completely wrong?

From the pic, the timing coil is not wound, only the lighting coil + its position is not changed when mounted. So the ignition timing is not changed.

Sanjith - Is the KB100 Rectifier a direct fit or wires has to be cut open

No effect on timing, unless Sanjith decides to make the mounting holes bigger or drill new holes and rotate the base plate from stock position or rotate the pulsar coil itself.
