      • I never faced any hassle for RX135 restoration, bought frame with bill, took it to authorized shop directed by YASS. Job was done in about 5 mins.
Here, it is done without much hassle, however, would advise each to procure the frame with bill. Ultimately, when FC is done, no matter what, RTO signs the paperwork only if there is a motivation.

          no petrol tank
Existing chasis number can also be stamped on a existing (used) chasis, without any complications.

This is rubbish. Sorry alok, but different cities can't have different rules. You just can't scare people like this.

There is no requirement of stamping the chasis number in front of RTO officials!!!!!!!! I have never heard of any such rule. I have restored plenty of RX135s & RX-Z & cops nor RTO has any issues with it.

And FYI, no bill is required either.

+ 100. There is no need for anyone to worry.

Trust me Sanjith, if you want to change the chasis of your RX, for whatever reason, you are free to do it & nobody can do anything about it. All this provided new chasis is available. I have people here who have converted regular RX135 to RX-Z with new Chasis. I can give many many such references & this is not illegal!!!!!! Yes running two bikes with similar chasis number & registration number is illegal, but we are talking a single machine here!!!!!!!!

            Thankyou All..

From all what you people have said I think if we are going to follow each and every rules we are going to have loads of headaches. Else if it can be done with the help of a local mechanic with perfection there wont be any problem.

Why bold? Check for the Mfg date. I've seen few shops in south TN where the steel keys are sold. The Minda stamp on the keys were dicy and it had recent year as mfg date.
Seniors may give input from their experience from the past.

Yes bold because, its the part which I was searching for the last few months.

Yes me checked the mfg date and it is 10/11/2011..little bit confused.
But it looks good and perfect with green verified sticker of MINDA.

They told me, these steel key sets are circulated in Delhi only now and very few packs are released. This shop people promised me 3 r 4 months before that they will try to get MINDA steel keys from Delhi for me.

I'm expecting reply from other experts too here on this...

Last time some 6 months back when I bought steel key set for another Xbhpian the price was Rs.504/-. That time I was not knowing steel keys are rare..
In the packing which I saw yesterday the mfg date is 10/11/2011 and price Rs 390/-
