I bought the flaot pin 2 days back and it had li'l bit of rust and the spring wasn't working fine. I cleaned it with WD-40.

I'm using the Gladiotor mirrors. BUt, I would suggest you to stick with the stock mirror.

You are coming for the Kerala G2G ride, right?? We can meet then. Are you on this RX??

          Thanks Melbin,Sriram and Haris.

Even me too don't like in getting deviating from stock setup. But the stock signal turn light has got a rubber part and its not coming with much quality now a days. Thats why I thought of changing it into RD's.

Anyway,Now I think its better to keep the stock signal lights and get 2 or 3 sets of them into the parts I'm collecting for use in future.

Again thanks a lot dear friends for your valuable suggestions...

@Haris:Yes, we will meet there during the g2g. I'm coming with the same RX100.

          • My friend suggested the name 'SUKKI' for my bike, which means 'sexy' in Japanese.. She added its a classic bike, and need a ride in this one when she reaches Cochin next year.

              • Given paint work on the 'RAJDOOT' embossing on the speedo with 'off white' colour. Will upload a snap within 2 days... It looks great now..

Did't find any front no: plates in shops which will give the exact looks of the ones came in 80s. So I have given my old original front no: plate in lathe to build a new one with exact same look and dimensions.

My bike during all kerala Xbhp g2g on 15/10/2011(Yesterday), she was smart during the entire ride of 325 kms. Top speed clocked during the ride is 95 kmph.

Im pretty happy with the mileage she is giving. Filled 8.2 ltrs of petrol and even after riding 325 kms on high-range area I can hear the petrol waving inside the tank now. Last time when I calculated the mileage it was around between 44-47 kmpl ...some what between those two figures..

Excellent mileage there. Are you running on the cylinder that came from the factory?

Two years back in Hyderabad traffic I used to get 37. Now it has dropped to 30. I've never managed to get 40.

Yes, running on the factory cylinder that came with the bike in 1986. No major parts replaced till now.

Did u do any major engine work or replaced any major parts? Is it after that the mileage droped?

WoW! Still on the factory cylinder How much has it run so far?

No idea, when or how the mileage dropped. I started measuring mileage only about two years back.
