Hello Frank,
Would be nice if you could post Road Tests of RX100 from magazines. I've never read one :-(
For the first time, I got to know the acceleration figures of RX100 by virtue of the ad you've posted few pages back. Thanks a million!!!A lone amateur built the ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic...

My dear Frank...even I had plenty of Sholavaram soveniors...at present just have mere 3 or 4 (rest was taken by yester year Tack heros like youOriginally posted by frankpilli View PostThe RX goes to Race at Sholavaram, Madras (Chennai)
During the winter of 1988, after licking my wounds for 2 months and recovered fully, I started to think what if I take part in the Annual Mecca for racers - none other than the 32nd All India Motor race meet (Mc Dowell Grand Prix) at the Sholavaram Airstrip, Madras (now Chennai). Haling from a highly orthodox family & met with a near death accident a few months ago, if my family comes to know my plans to race at Sholavaram, my Dad will simply chain me and lock-up
.
These are the pages from the Race Souvenir of 1989
)
BTW, here is the pic of Mr.G.R Karthikeyan( which you have higlighted), the adjacent photo is my Dad (M.Kanakachalam)

Sarin, Think we shall wait for KB 100 test report, from Frank after finishing his RX storyOriginally posted by kb100 View Postsir if possible do post road tests of kb100,s please

and here is some more from 1989 Sholavaram races.
First image is the cover of FMSCI Rules book, the second one is the place for Scrutiny of the bikes on Friday (2 days before the Race day) the third one is the Layout of Track,, and the forth one is the Race card of the race i took part. In Race 3A for Group D above 80 cc upto 110 cc, out of 26 participants, only one Suzuki & one KB 100 took part, and the rest are Yamaha RX-100's which clearly mentions the dominance of the RX.Biker of the Year -2013

A request to members: Date of the event which took part is 12.02.1989, on that day, i didnt have a single photograph. but i managed to get the name of the photographer who covered the event at Sholavaram. His name is Mr. HAMEED PASHA, probably from Madras (Chennai) there is a very high possibility that this gentleman is the Staff Photographer of the Sportstar magazine (Hindu group)
Members from Chennai, please help me to locate him, so there is a possibility i may get my photos of the event.Biker of the Year -2013
