Loved it very much, I actually maintained a record of the things like when it got a new tyre, engine oil, 2T oil, de-carbonized, cables changed/lubricated and lots of other things. All maintenance done by me and at home, in the span of 5 years it didn't have any major problem which should be done at the dealer, in-spite of riding it for 51,234 KM (22,066 to 73,300 kilometers) as logged in this dairy.

Here are the Scans of Maintenance done which i wrote in a Dairy, the FIRST 5 PAGES OF THE DAIRY ARE COPIED FROM ANOTHER BOOK AND NOT ACCORDING TO THE POCKET DAIRY DATES. However, from 05-04 1991 the year is correct and dates written by me. i'm posting the first 4 pages now.(total 20 pages).

The RX series IIRC didn't come with a factory fitted Resonator then.

When did you change the color?

True Frank ... the RX100 never came with a resonator .... that was only on the 135s

What does it look like now? Do you still have this bike? Is that story still coming up?

@ Kartik, its not actually hijacking or OT, but these posts took me down the memory lane to post more things connected with the Racing RX-100's of private teams at Sholavaram in the late 1980's

@ Rosh & dafc, as an old timer, back in the day, if i remember correctly, the factory team of Escorts-Yamaha, took part in 50 % of the events (Track & Motocross) and the rest are privateers participating with their own money and a little sponsorship from small companies /individuals. but the Ind/TVS Suzuki's always took part not only at Sholavaram but any other race/motocross/National event through the Factory teams only. imagine a Factory backed team biting dust behind RX-100's in the hands of Privateers

Here i should mention about the twin brothers, the Legends, Rajkumar & Rajendra who used to Rip the RX & RD's both backed by Team TanTex on the Sholavaram track for over 5 years, we are very fortunate to have non other than the legendary Rajkumar here in Xbhp, both the brothers are 2T tuners & racers as well. i had the privilege of racing with them on the same track same year -1989 ( not in Group-B, but i'm racing in the Group-D novice class) on the same day, same track.

And why/how can this bike overtake a 200cc pulsar in a 200mtr uninitiated drag on an empty road?
I was speechless as it overtook the 200 after a 50mtr close competition, i was riding pillion on the 200.
If there something i bow head to among the 2-wheelers Yamaha RX100 would be in the list

Have done this a 1000 times probably by now. Blown P200s, ZMAs, RTRs not just for 200mts, but for more in Kms & Kms.

RX100 is a very good bike, but wait till you ride a modified 135 5-speed, your perception on 2-stroke air-cooled single cylinder will change forever!!!

Its high time you get yourself an RX.
