I have a 1986 RX100 Made in Japan bike for sale with papers cleared till 2022.
It comes with a Y series block and ITS OWN OWNERS MANUAL.

My Rx 135 5speed tick tick sound.

Hi, I have restored rx 135 to its original condition, when I was purchasing it was in really bad condition it stood for 4 to 5 years so we checked by starting the engine some bearing and connecting rod sound was there but no piston sound and now it's running in 0.25 bore and while installing the bore mechanic saw that piston and told its good so it's better to change the rings and replaced with A NEW rings after that some 50 to 100 km riding this strange sound started from the bore so I checked with the mech he said it's from rings after some kilometres riding it will reduce but now I rode 500 Km that sound is increasing. Please help me do I need to go for rebore. If rebore which piston should I buy or without rebore can we solve this issue by replacing with the old rings. Please help me.

Hi all the members of xbhp my name is sarad rai and i am from Darjeeling .. i have a Very weird problem on my rx135 Yamaha the problem is I can't ride it more than 5-10 minutes after running a few miles my rx gets automatically stop my throttle gets low like i need to change it From 2nd gear to 1st... but even though I change it i can't manage it continues run... And than I have to wait for 5 or 10 min and after several tries it comes to life again... I have modified a little in looks... Before modifying every thing was working fine.. but after modified it to cafe racer... She is not good as she was before... I haven't done anything with engine... Mu machanic change piston ring and position only... And I had to change my airfilter also but couldn't fit it properly so i bought another from online and i didn't knew the size and when it came the size was bigger so i had to go to cobbler and he fixed it hand cuted circular robber... But the problems couldn't solve as i am in the small town They don't know the problems nor I have good circle who knows about all this thing please help me ... I would be thankful to you all and i am so sorry for my really poor English that's all i can write to explain my problem and i am new at xbhp with only few knowledge of bike thank you

your engine is overheating and seizing , get rid of the engine covers, its blocking air circulation around the cylinder and head ,and go back to the stock air filter

For restoration of yamaha Rx 100, 95 model,

hello everyone , harshil here, from baroda gujarat,,, here is some history about the affection and love between me and rx,,, in school time 2004, @ 11 standard my father bought rx for 5000 rs for some workers in my godown, at that time i am having splendor ,, once i didnt have the bike so i took rx from his worker,, for going at tuition, and it was my first ride,, than the love started , than i restored and had fun, till today i had bought and sold 8 yamaha rx ,,, many of them was japan model,, but at that time i didnt knew its value.... i had all of them in average condition,, but i was studying so didnt dare to restored it,, last year in 2016,, i sold one 91 model,, and i have now 0 rx..... in this october i bought rx 100 95 model,,, ( no crazz left for the japan one,, bcoz indian people will not left any thing of japan in 27 year from 1989,) so i finally purchased 95 model,,, from a shopkeeper doing some welding work for doors . . i purchased it for 8000 rs . . now i want it in totally restored condition (the one what company launched),, suggest me the average cost , the location for availability of spares ,, inter state will be not an issue,,, give me some advice from the pictures what should i have to do... the bike is in running condition,,, firing is nice,, and pick up is also nice one... how much money will it take for restoration? what does it mean by "Jay-7024" written on bore kit of it,, and What is G1,G2,G3, bore.. ? whats the benefit which is best,,, and how? whats the different between all? specifically tell me about that jay-7024 bore kit,? is it original or duplicate ? your comments are most well come .....

im planning to buy my friends rx135
theres some problem with the paper works but i wanted to make it into an enduro which i can just throw it around and have fun with it in my small ranch
does anyone know which is the best upgrade for the front forks, swingarm with mono suspension and maybe an enduro body kit?(cheap and best which is available in our country itself)
if u have any photos for reference then it would be cool

Hello friends i want your opinion on the price of RX100 1995 all original even having original seat cover engine never been opened all papers clear. bike is in immaculate condition.

Saree Guard and Leg Guard are missing though. Bike looks like its repainted it can be seen on chain cover, also the rear suspension is not orignal it has been replaced, since papers are clear and engine is never opened as per you, so you will end up spending in restoration so I think it should be anywhere between 18k to 22k.

Yes that's the concern i think that's the fair value you have mentioned buti smell something fishy as i have talked to owner will look for 5 speed rx though

RX Z engine oil

Hello, I own Rx Z 5speed(stock 4speed) 2002 model.
since I am new to Yamaha RX series bikes, I have some questions.
1) which is best engine oil and gear box oil for my bike?
2) Which silencer sound better for my bike(my bike fitted with catalic silencer)
3) There is rust in Petrol tank how do I stop it from going to engine/carborator.(I want to clean it with RR-10(rust removal kit) but it is not available in Karnataka.

Hi All,

Need your help guidance.

I have a rx 100 1995 model,it has sleeved bore.
REcently as winter has started it is giving lot of starting problems, everyday in the morning have to kick 20-30 times for it to start, i keep hte fuel off while parking at night and my mechanic says there is no issue with the plug and carb and the issue is with the compression as it is very low.
Can you help? i want to know if what he says is correct, is there anything else which i can try?

it really depends on where the bike is located ie ur location. ur name suggests you r from Punjab.
