Don't sandblast, sandblasting sometimes leaves small dents on the part which has to be later filled with filler, and this filling is one tedious job and takes lots of time patience and hardwork (already experiencing this problem), instead of sand blasting you can remove the paint by use of paint stripper, and to remove rust if it is there you can use grinder or muriatic acid.

Must be a printing mistake. 6,000 kms is the general drain interval.Originally posted by Mr.Boss View PostCame across this RX100 owners manual and bit surprised to see the transmission oil change frequency. 24k km, really??

Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
Get your inner tubes checked, does your front forks only make noise when ridden on bad roads, if yes then probably you will have to change inner tubes.Originally posted by Ankitvile View PostFront suspensions bottoms out making a 'khat' sound on offroads. !!

Couldn't get the logic.Originally posted by kusmaker View PostGet your inner tubes checked, does your front forks only make noise when ridden on bad roads, if yes then probably you will have to change inner tubes.
How changing inner tubes prevents bottoming? Please explain
Either a high viscous oil / stiffer spring should solve the issue (or the driver should lose weight, just kidding)

Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
I said this thing, becuase he is feeling khat noise when the bike hit offroads, and if this noise is only occuring on bad stretches, and not on smooth roads, then tubes must be checked, in the bottom of inner tube has got a sliding bush in which spindle is attached and when this sliding bush is broken inside forks make this annoying sound khat khat, so whenever the bike hits a rough patch, or an pothole, forks make noise, on smooth roads everything is fine.Originally posted by Mr.Boss View PostCouldn't get the logic.

Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
I am recently in a process of Reboring job for RX 1354s , it was on 2nd oversize , but the Lathe machine guy told me since the block is bit abused it needs to be rebored to size 40 -1 mm , last oversize, so i thought of getting sleeved with 1st oversize, will it be ok, also do i need to take care of any run-in period? , please let me know.
thanks in advance
