i cannot really comment about ring changes , ive heard that rd owners change theirs at around 40k mark, the problem is if the new rings are to seat and seal properly then the cylinder walls should be honed first to remove the glazing this is a delicate job and requires specialised tool like a ball hone , which most lathe wallas have not even heard of it and will try to hone it with emery paper which will increase the clearances and will lead to piston slap ,

Fair answer i think, rubbing with emery pape will not only increase clearance but also make cylinder inner uneven also i believe, which will make piston slap. So that does mean if the compression drops you should go for next size piston, can you guide that after how much of drop in compression one should go for rebore, i mean like 110psi or below this pressure.

ideally when it goes under 100 psi, actually honing will not make the surface uneven ,it is because if the amount of metal removed from the cylinder thereby increasing the clearance between the piston and cylinder walls that causes the slap

Hmm that's quite right man, one thing i also noticed recently i thought of using platinum spark plug of NGK the reason for using this spark plug was that it should give more efficient spark as compare to the copper one, but to my surprise this platinum spark plug didn't provide any improvement infact when i opened the plug after pretty long run it showed dark brown colour, so i reverted to my old plug and after 12kms i again checked the plug this time the colour of the plug was as it should be, why this happened i have no idea either the afr is set to according to the copper plug or the platinum spark plug was not performing properly, even when the plug was brand new.

probably the plug was of the wrong heat range , besides platinum and other exotic plugs really come into their own when they are allied to performance ignitions with modded engines running high compression ratios, on normal engines they last a very very long time

I was thinking of using Nulon engine treatment for my 2stroke motorcycle, has anyone used it and did they found any benefits or not.

dont expect much ,as you will have to use it by mixing it with petrol, also dont even think about putting it your engine , your clutch will start slipping

Absoultely not i am not gonna mix it in the engine oil, as mixing is done in 4stroke only, i was thinking that the substance PTFE in this solution is slippery in nature then how come compression of an engine can be restored or increased as mentioned by the company.

better you ask the manufacturer the same question, as for mixing in engine oil , it is still a bad idea ti use them in 4s bikes as most of them run wet clutches and hence adding of nulon will induce clutch slippage

Manufacturers are not so responsible in this country, and neither they find it necessary to explain everything to everyone manufacturers role is simple either you buy threre product or don't ,that's why these forums or sites are here to inform each other what a person don't know, thanks for replying.

Hai All 2-strokers i am restoring my 1988 rx-100. But instead of the stock meter console i would like to fit the RX-Z One. Would the tacho be functional, will be upgrading the electricals to 12V ,will this hamper with the console?
                              Thanks in advance..

You can go for Rxz meter assembly with tachometer but are you getting the complete assembly of tacho wire with gear and washer that goes into the clutch side. You have to change the wiring harness to that of Rxz.
