Side effects i think absolutely NO.On the contrary it's good that you are changing whole wiring of the vehicle.

Guys,it's been a long time since I posted anything in this thread.......
So... I'm back with a little lighting fix.....
As we all face a pathetic problem in all our Rx100s of lighting...
So, I had installed a HID but the throw was pathetic and it created unnecessary glares which was blinding the oncoming traffic...
As a responsible driver I bought a projector from the kurla market for 500 INR and I had to modify my reflector (P150 classic's reflector) to install it
but I just wasn't satisfied with the throw....
But then, one day I saw the new RE Thunderbird 350's headlamp assembly.......
I liked the idea of Low-beam projector and High beam normal reflector plus an angel eye....all in a single reflector unit....
So, I was again wandering the kurla market for RE Thunderbird's headlamp unit (OE costs around 4500 INR in ASC)
I got a used one(in a fairly good shape, except for scratches on the glass/lens) in the kurla market for 1300 INR
My P150's reflector's lens/glass was of same size so I swapped it with the RE's headlams's glass/lens.....
But, if you connect it on your bike on a stock setup, the lighting is still not what we call to the mark...
So a little tweak (only for people on stock setup), there will be 2 wires coming out from the lighting/charging coil.....
Just reroute the charging wire to the lighting wire and the lighting wire to the charging wire...
Basically what we are doing it using the less power generated from the coil to charge our batteries and the portion of
the coil which generates more power is used to light up the headlamp ....
the lighting coil is enough to charge the stoc 2.5 Ah battery and the battery also doesn't get drained much as we are
only using it for horns, brake light, parking lamp, indicators, neutral indicator............
I'll post the pics shortly...

@all Gurus your suggestions opinions???

Thank you for your opinion/feedback RTR996
But I haven't installed the headlamp assembly on my bike yet.....
I'm waiting for the bulbs and the holders to arrive, actually was busy due to work couldn't buy them......
I'm gonna go today to buy them....
So most probably I'll install the head this saturday or sunday........
Nevertheless, enjoy some snaps which I took at home......
2 with the angel eye on and another with the HID in High beam....

@all other seniors...
I was looking at a 12v conversion video of 100 cc bikes the other day..
The coil plate is similar to that of rx100 in this video...
Now my question is that in this video he powers up the headlights directly from the battery and utilities the full output of the coil...
So, is this a good way?? will the battery be charged enough to run the headlamp???
I have a extra coil+stator plate assembly and was curious to try it out....
Should I try it out??

The link to the video is here....

This is Nagaraj from Bangalore. I own a RX 135(4 speed) 2001 model. I thought sharing my experience on owning a RX and seeking advice from all experts on how to increase the performance. After reading so many posts from experts here I have decided to upgrade my bike. Following are things carried out on my bike so far
Added 16” tyre for better road grip
New standard cylinder kit
New Clutch plates
Full gear box serviced with Clutch bell resetting.
Bike is ported with Stage-1 spec (for street use only)
Calculated expansion chamber and tuned by one of the reputed tuner from Bangalore
Now performance wise my bike is doing very good. I loved the power. However being the sound freak myself i did not like the sound of expansion chamber at low R.P.M. It sounds like steel vessel being hit by other metal piece. When it hits power band it’s roaring. Since it’s the normal street use bike you can’t hit the power band often considering the Bangalore traffic.
Now my request to all the experts please suggests me how to change that sound of the chamber. My tuner says go for racing Ignition kit with magnet. Your suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Nagaraj

for the chamber you have 2 options tomake it sound better1. Wait for carbon to build up in the chamber and hope that it dampens outs the sound2.fill your end can with glasswool/steel wool or a combination of both to dampen down the sound ,ps: did your expert tuner upjet the carbs after putting in the chamber

Same here. Just made a chamber for my 5speed and its sounds a lot. With glasswool at the stinger im hoping with time the carbon accumulation reduces the sound and thus im running on slighlt more 2Toil than normal. But if it doesnt ill have to change to another one.

with an endcan like that dont expect much noise reduction ,if possible get a new endcan made, btw where did you get this chamber

Thank you so much KB100 for the response. My problem is not loud sound. It sounds weird in lower rpm(like steel vessel being hit by a metal peice). once R.P.M increases i have a good (not so loud) sound. I have a n aluminium end can (not sure of glass wool). But my carb is up jetted and performance wise its very good.

As you said should i wait for carbon to accumulate then check for sound or i should find an alternate muffler for it. please suggest.thanks again. please find the pic.

Hello Ankit.
Is your bike ported or stock. how is the performance. Please upload a Video of the Chamber sound if possible. To be honest i did the chamber just because of the the way it sounds. But unfortunately it's not sounding the way i wanted.
