Good tip! would look at the bike in few days, its raining here and owner is not back yet. Have to see if the owner has RC with him and is willing part with the bike. Oh and for a good price that is!

can we use rx100 clutch bell assembly on 135??,since the rx100 spares are easily available than 135,which all are the components they share?
my '98rx 135 needs replacement of clutch bell.i tried my level best to collect the spare but unfortunately i cant.can anyone suggest a solution please.

Hi seniors,

I have two problems here

1) I changed my engine oil two months before, (while replacing engine bearings and con rod, piston ring also I think) and rode only about 500Kms hardly. last day i was noticed a humming sound, and checked. the engine oil was almost empty there. what are the possible reasons to happen this.? is that burn out in such a short time.? I didn't find any leakage on engine or over my garage floor. if it burn out, what are the reasons to burn oil on short.?

2) I found a small fuel leakage on fuel cock and fuel tank joint. is that fix by gas welding.? or should i replace my tank.? any other solution..?

on problem 1,i think the piston rings may be damaged, not sure just check the condition of spark plug if it is too much clogged with carbon,probably the oil burns excessevly and that may be the reason
on problem 2,i also had the same problem..mech fixed it with some rubber washers and now its fine...i think it is not serious one and just check tank for rusting.if it is perfect then why should you replace it?

Ngk bpr7hs is the recomended plug. U can use mico w5bc alternatively. No need for fancy irridium or watever.

What exactly you want to know?
Are you having issues?
Are being stopped by cops since your bike is with E4?

Don't fiddle with engine unless you have an issue.
Don't always go be mechanic as you are educated and have resources to learn the facts.

How the Clutch Should be:- Hard or Soft

I am having Rx135 4 speed 99 model.
I am facing a problem for my clutch.i want to learn that how the clutch should be adjust whether it should be soft or Hard.

Also i want to know the exact ratio of OIL to be mixed with petrol
i.e how much ml for 1 ltr.My oil pump is working and mostly i fill the oil tank timely.

if any one having RX135 ,can you told me the max speed your bike takes in first gear and simultaneous for other shifts with normal throttler.

i drive daily 30km out of which 15 is highway drive and rest 15 is intense traffic area(Traffiic is so terrible that the ppl having Bike also need to stop ).

Help me!! Yamaha rx 100 starting trouble

hello bhpians,

I got yamaha rx100 from a guy in chennai on 28th march 2015
It is 1994 model with G1 bore. carburetor made in India (not sure which company).

condition of bike when i took from him:

No battery
no oil in the side oil tank

when I drove it. It was okay but howling is bit loud than normal no smoke that time. I paid him 31k and got the bike. Its around 35kms from his place. I thought there was oil in the oil tank (yesterday I filled it). I filled with petrol alone without oil. But the problem is bike got stop many times yesterday. Petrol bunk guy checked that oil tank and said its empty then I filled with 2T oil. and asked him to put some oil in petrol tank also. after that we went for around 5-6 kms after I observed lot of smoke coming from exhaust pipe.
Again same problem, engine stopped many times. Some how I reached home. Now bike is not starting I'm worried whether engine got seized?? Is that my fault like not filling oil along with petrol and drove around 40-50 kms??

what I have to do now? take that to a mechanic?? if so is there any genuine mechanic in OMR road, Chennai?

PS: when i was checking bike i just pulled the cable in the picture and I dont know where the other end was connected!!
please help me to take my beast on to the roads again!!
