DCM Toyota beam, if you want clear glass then TVS XL beam. there are ways to improve your lighting by rewinding your light coil.

I am using a DCM beam on my RX, the stock dome rear side i have heated carefully on a LPG flame ,remodeled like a bubble to take the extended DCM beam

Buddy DCM Beam is a reflector right? Which bulb are you using on this setup??

Yes sealed beam , I use 12V 60W/55W H4 with RDD 90/110 set up

Yesterday i replaced the switches on handlebar with original minda ones. When i was taking the bike from garage to home the headlamp was fine but as soon as i reached home i let the bike sit for some time and when i started her up after 15 minutes the headlight went off. Now when i turn the headlamp switch on the filament only glows red, there is no light. Bulbs are fine. What might be the issue?
My mech said he has to check the magnet coil

Series.. Serious... Problem in Rx 135 5 Speed

Hi All,


Parivel here from Chennai. Sorry for the lengthy post.


I have 14 year old Rx 135...5 speed. I have never spent much money for servicing so far. Fill it, Ride it... But it's time now to re bore. That's fine.


I have got my first oversize piston.( Thanks for sourcing the original piston Sriramefunds...)


But for the past two months I'm facing some series of issues. Initially It was a starting trouble in the morning.. Then, starting trouble when it is parked in rain. No pickup. Struggle to climb the small ramp in second gear in my House. I justified me that it is because of the re boring issue. My mechanic told me that there is clutch problem. I have changed the clutch plate and some accessories regarding that. Now, I feel terrible jerk while riding, like there is no fuel suddenly.Then it's gaining speed. But the starange issue is, this problem is not consistant. Even today i face this jerking problem when I go towards Egmore. While returning, no issue at all. I lost hope with My mechanic as he is yet t0 solve this even after three services.


Mileage drastically reduced to 20km/Lt

And bike emits more smoke when i go beyond 60km/h


Please help me to know,


1.What causes these issues? ( Starting trouble, Pickup, Jerking like no fuel, Mileage drop)
2.Any reliable, good mechanic for yamaha in chennai?
3.There is no proper place to rebore in chennai.Where is the place in Bangalore, I can rebore? .(Sriram you have to ans me..lol )
4.Will re boring solve these issues?

Guys, i'm going to be storing my bike for about one and a half month. So what steps should i follow before storing?
I'm thinking of spreading a layer of 2t oil on all chrome parts to prevent rusting. Anything else i can do to prevent rust??

If the bike is going to be idle exceeding 6 months, I would remove the battery, drain 2t oil tank and gearbox oil.
I thinkvyou should be good. Cover it from rain and sun.

First, change the mechanic. Check whether the piston is placed in the correct position. I have similar issue after a rebore, I was so frustrated and with a heavy heart I changed my mechanic pal just to find out that the piston was placed in the wrong direction. This is just my thought, maybe a different issue in your case but just give it a try. Chennai should be having better mechanics, chennai owners might give you a lead.
