Also check the current voltage using voltmeter. It might be near to 6v. If it's 12v it should be near to 14v.

As mentioned in my first post I already checked the voltage through a multimeter.
Actually I was just 5 years old when the bike comes home for my elder brother and the changes were done by him at that time, I asked him few days back about what changes he had done for upgrading it to 12V, he wasn't sure about all the work done at that time but says that RR unit was changed definitely!!!
But as I am getting voltage from the battery terminals in higher range, the coils too are also upgraded.

Just not sure about the voltage ranges I am getting , because I am not getting a constant value(even at idle)

It has to be above ~14 volts, and yes it will fluctuate, you might get 11 volts as well. To be on a safer side get the coils rewound as the voltage alone cannot ensure faster charging, even the current is important. A strong current would mean a faster charging. Exide is a good choice but if bosch made bike battery I would not look further.

hi buddys, my 135 got a problem somewhere in the clutch mechanism(i think ...)
a sudden hammering occurs when the clutch is released at 1st gear,at that particular point when the movement begins..cutch is smooth and gear transmission is problem free.
the problem only occurs when bike is moved from idle condition.mainly in city traffic ,when bike is moved, stopped and then moved, the hammering problem occurs somewhere inside the gb.
chain sprockets are checked and tightened......i think you all can help me

I assume you were saying that while pressing the clutch lever when you shift the gear lever from neutral to 1st; a sudden jerk occur!!!

Is this happening all the time or only during the cold start(i.e., first start of the day/ or after 8-9 hours of lying idle)???

no..no..thats not the case bro. jerk occurs when the lever is slowly released.i always start bike in 1st gear( by applying clutch) to avoid the condition mentioned by you.
the problem is that when the clutch lever is released and at the particular point when the movement starts, some sort of hammering occurs inside the engine(hope u understand what i mean)
just imagine what happens when the inner chain sprocket(the small one) is loose...when we release the clutch a sudden jerk occurs before the chain moves. my problem is very much similar to that, here the sprockets are properly tightened.
and i dont know what is happening .
problems are occuring one by one.when one is solved, another cames into play.previous problem was air leak in the manifold.

                      • RX 100 or 135?

Hello everyone, I want to buy an RX for myself but I'm confused whether to buy an RX 100 or 135. I love the sound note of RX 100 but 135 is superior in terms of torque and power. I don't want to compromise on neither. Neither the sound note nor the performance. What can i do? If I fit a RX 100 silencer on 135 or 135 5 speed, will it produce the exact same sound? Senior members, please help out a newbie. Also, I've heard that though 135 is better on paper, actually 100 is better at the pick up. Is it just a myth? Fuel efficiency is not the concern for me.

Go for Rx135. If you want better performance you can go for porting and all other perf enhancements. Putting Rx100 silencer on 135 won't give sound of 100. Rx100 may go faster than 135 on traffic signals. But that can be changed in 135 by changing the Sprocket.

100 and 135 silencers are same the only difference is in the core or flute.

Like I mentioned above the beat of a 100 is unique, it cannot be replicated, however cutting the flute can make the beat of a 135 prominent and its more metallic and has a higher frequency than the 100

not true, the 135 is better performer as well in the stock form, there were many reasons people used to swear by 100s most were myths, the fuel efficient 135 was also great on power and was better than 100 in every aspect(I own a 89 Jan 100, which was imported in 88). 135 is a better machine, if you can do away with the beat factor.

That's because of the Port dimensions my friend..No matter what you cannot replicate the sounds vice versa

Thanks Vimal.. RX100 with performance enhancements seems like a better option. what all enhancements can be done? reboring, porting etc?
