When you park the bike overnight did you off the petrol tap ? if not keep it off and see whether the situation improves. Overflow in the carb can be the reason for this particular issue, one reason for this is rusty petrol tank, rust particles in the petrol will prevent the float valve from sealing completely resulting in flooding of the carb. worn out float valve can be a reason too
Yes my oil pump is fully functional. I'll reduce the mixture as per your advice. Yes, I regularly follow the practise to turn off the petrol knob before turning off the key. Recently I have even started to close the petrol tap just about 100 mts before reaching the destination to avoid any overflow.

Since I always mix oil with petrol, still is there a chance for rust in petrol tank? If the carb is flooded won't the excess petrol be dripping from the overflow valve/tube? Now I have started to doubt the worn out float valve.

Could you tell me approximately at what RPM does the bike flutter? Also tell me the size of the jets you are using, Pilot, Main etc. Any change in the filters?

Too Lazy to read previous posts, 100/135?

I am not sure if I can answers all your questions with exact specification, but following are the answers best of my knowledge:
1/4 th position of throttle, approx 1500-2000 RPM I guess.
I have not changed the jets of any type and I have zero knowledge in their sizes. All I can say is they are stock.
No changes in filters, they are stock. But I feel they are clogged.

while at cleaning the carb did you find brown deposits in the float chamber? if so it is rust from the tank. If you add oil from day one and fill the tank occasionally then you can prevent rust from getting in.

Depending on the condition of the float valve petrol can flow out from the overflow tube as well (worst case)

Correct float height should be 22.5 +or- 1mm

Yes, I found brown sand/paste like deposit in the float chamber. So its now confirmed that rust entering my carb, thank you! I do have a petrol filter, I think I need to get a better one soon, any recommendations on best/better fuel filter?

Petrol never came out of the overflow tube so far. So as per our discussion the petrol is flooded on overnight parking and until it burns, the spluttering happens with restricted power and too much smoke. On the long run or running like this for quite sometime now, I could expect huge deposits of carbon on the head, exhaust port and inside exhaust?

            Solution:
            Change the worn float valve.
Perfect the float height as recommended.

            Am I right?

Thanks a lot for your valuable inputs, I appreciate your help!

              You are welcome man...

Do you use the choke while starting in the morning ? I think you should clean the pilot jet when you are opening the carb. also check the choke mechanism once

Do'nt change the float valve, just adjust float height (if required) and check whether the problem is solved. If you are adjusting yourself you should carefully tap the float tab and refix every time to see the height is ok.

If the problem is solved, just lift the head and do a decarb next time

              good luck

It could not be an issue with the float needle, if that is true then it would happen on days when you run the bike as well, technically how much time does it take to fill the float bowl, not much and it should do this everytime.

If you can open the carb check the jet size, slide high(which notch is the lock on) also post a plug pic, if the plug is too cold(above 5) you would experience this as the plug will have too much carbon and wont clean itself. You didn't mention weather its a 100 of a 135.

No, I don't use Choke in the morning. It fires up in 1-2 kicks, even if I haven't used the bike for a week 3-4 kicks without choke.

This issue only happens in the first start of the bike in the morning (a cold start). When I used the bike regularly for my office commute, which is 15 KMs one way it gives the same issue during the morning initial start. Bike will be parked in the office for close to 9-10 hours, but when started it never gave me this issue. Only when people fiddled with throttle I get this issue while starting from office.

I am sorry I couldn't understand this line properly "If you can open the carb check the jet size, slide high(which notch is the lock on)" I will post a pic of the plug soon. BTW it's a 100, I forgot you mentioned you haven't read my first post.

Sorry to ask more, can you provide me a link or picture which has names of each part inside the carb. I'm having a tough time answering your questions with terms like pilot jet, float needle, jet size, slide high, Idle OE, etc..

If it is RX100 float height should be 20-21 mm because I posted the figure for RX135

If it starts without choke then there is no issue at all I guess. you part it on side stand ?

pm me your e-mail, I will send you the RX100 workshop manual so that you can master everything systematically

No, I use side stand only on quick stops. I prefer center stand when parking overnight or if the stop is for a couple hours long. This habit started with our old battery acid leak issues.

Is there something related to cold starts if the issue is not with carb? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
