@All Seniors
I opened the head,block and clutch side cover(to change gasket)
When I opened the block; the piston,block and head were in fairly good condition,rings were fine,con rod bearings didn't have play in them,only piston bearings were worn out.
Therefore changed only that bearing and assembled the engine back......
But the sound which was there in the video I posted earlier
Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

comes only when I push the kick lever, and in high rpm(speeds greater than 50)

I had manually spun the crank when i opened the block and the rattling sound was not there....however it comes only when kick starting.......
Are the main case bearings at fault??

Con-rod noise. Will be present on any refurbished crank. Will be loud on a badly refurbished crank. Change the con-rod, refurbish the crank, get a good cage bearing and voila problem solved. (just my take, others please correct me if I'm wrong)

@Balgi
I have changed all the bearings of the Engine...
And the con rod didn't have play.....
It was checked by a trusted mech and by myself.....
AFAIK the side play (1-2 mm) is OK but it should not have vertical play right??
Con rod didn't have vertical play.......
That's why I thought about piston slapping.......

BTW which is the OEM Company of con rods for Yamaha Rx series...
Currently the one which I have in my bike is of NICO (I don't exactly remember the name....)

The one you have is mako which is standard for the rebuild.

Vertical movement must be absent but there should also not be any horizontal play on the con-rod which can be felt when handling it. So don't know about 1-2mm play bud. Maybe other members can guide you better on that. But if the refurbishing is not done correctly, as I had mentioned before, then noise will come despite there being no play on the crank anywhere. So it doesn't matter if the con-rod is good or bearings are new, if not installed properly they will make noise.

I never refurbished the crank Balgi .....
Only changed the piston pin bearing......
The down end bearing of the crank is perfectly alright....
and on many sites it is written that side play is ok...
It is even mentioned in the workshop manual

Well I just gave you my experience from my own Rx. That's why I asked other members to help figure it out.
Anyway, good luck.

Okay, If I were you, would do like this ....
1. While changing the crank, would have changed the rings at least.
2. I would check the clearance of piston again and even go for next size if needed.
3. While rebuilding the engine, never leave any area with old parts ie crank, bearings, piston rings oil seal etc. The reason is, as time goes by the wear out of one area might be high than the other,so you'll end up grounding the engine at regular times. That's why I always insist on complete engine rebuilt.

I checked the piston today......
After opening the head,I checked whether the piston moves horizontal....
And as I suspected it has a little horizontal movement.....
The bore is in a fairly good condition so will change the piston along with rings and will get the cylinder honed for the new piston....
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
