It's from the engine because at higher rpm the sound disappears and when going uphill the sound comes again......
the sound mainly comes form the cylinder portion.........
the sound comes also comes when the rpm is low and the gear is higher, for ex- 3rd gear and speed of 25-30............

There's something fundamentally incorrect observation, atleast that's what I feel.

Anyway, before jumping into conclusion on engine, check for the noise at gear shifter, there're 2 pieces & check them individually + also check at rear suspensions + ensure the rubbers under tank are not worn out & last but not the least the speedo console, ignition turn + pilot lamps + ensure to use only the key (not even the key chain) & check for the rattling noise + the clutch & brake levers.

In addition to what aargee has said, check the fuel tank lock. Place your finger firmly on the fuel tank lock and see if the sound reduces. Sound at lower RPMs can be improper fuel tank mounting (worn rubber mounts) or fuel tank lock being loose.

Ok guys, forgive me if I sound lame. I don't have a 2 stroke bike but the sound as said by the OP comes at lesser speeds and uphill. It vanishes at higher RPMS.

Can it be:
1. Tappets or
2. Simply engine knocking/lugging due to shifting at low(er) RPMS ?

As Doc Nitesh (Yamdoot) says, 2 stroke ain't got valves, valves, cams, tappets so no headaches.

Shreyas Rane:- Knocking sound could be because of many reasons, it could also be crank small end pin bearing worn out. As aargee said earlier, with mere words it's not that easily ascertained the cause of the sound. First of all you THINK it is coming from engine and it needs to be confirmed from where exactly.

Tappets????? :what::what::what:

The whole reason 2ts screw the happiness of 4t bikes is because they have only one moving part in the cylinder. Thats the piston.

As far as low end pull is concerned, a rx135 pulls cleanly from 20kph in 4th gear. In most cases 2t engines rattle due to 2 reasons. Either its the rings or its the con rod which has play due to worn out big end bearing.

I have a feeling this is the con rod vertical out !
"Firstly" - If you are so sure that the sound is from the block then best would be lift the head and check for the con rod play.

Alternatively, try switching to 2nd gear from 3rd while you are riding. Now press the clutch lever while the bike still moving - and now open the clutch and throttle (little aggressively) at a time.
Keep listening the block carefully. If this action gives you a "CLICK" (considerably hearable) sound - then I believe its the con rod play.
Stop at RED and go at GREEN !!!

Checked with my mech today about the problem........
he says that it must be the bearings of the connecting rod or the sound is a result of poor boring of the engine.............

Is this rattling sound coming

1. while the Engine is in idlling?
2.When you give throttle with Neautral gear?
3. When you give throttle with clutch engaged?
4. When you give throttle with clutch and gear is engaged?

In all these cases if this rattling is not coming, and only rattling appears while riding means probably its not from engine. Then check everywhere for any loose nuts also loose chain etc.

What i am trying to ask is r15 has 3.5amp battery with suitable discharges like two headlamps, fuel injector, dual horn etc...
Is it possible to run all these in the existing wiring setup in rx135?

Why to do Jugaad with the wiring kit? I dont think that its a wise move to change entire wiring harness to a latest model bikes harness. You may have to cut and join almost each and every wire. Instead of this why dont you think of putting a Big battery in your bike and increase the charging power of your bike? This might not require more cutting of wires. 1st of all is ur RX100 running on 6v or 12v. If its 6v then convert it to 12v.

Just try to rewind the lighting coil of your bike. So many auto electricians do this especially for Rx100 and old RX135's. Only thing you have to check is whether your regulator is sutable for this much current. If charging is ok with your stock regulator, then let it be. Else you may have to change the regulator. I think KB100's regulator is good.

You can go forward with the rewinding. Mine was stock 2.5lc. Now after rewind, I put Exide 5lc which is more than enough. If you do rewind, i think you wont need Xenon lamps. U can put a 55/60W halogen in a 7" Autopal reflector with an aftermarket dome. It gives sufficient light and you dont ve to worry of light scattering in case of fog or rain. When I put my bikes high beam, even cars will turn to Dim.

Hears like "Piston out" to me. did u checked the Rings and piston whether its worn out or not. If its only rings, then you are lucky, just change the rings, Else go for next OS piston & Cylinder Rebore. After opening block check crank bearing and needle roller bearing also. Also feels like Engine is running without sufficient 2T oil. If 2T is externally pumping , check whether pump is working or not.
