Friends I would like to know if anyone has done pollution test in any of rx. Doesn't matter if it has passed the test, I only want the result. I have to submit a project on 17 with a difference between pollution emission between a 2t and 4t. So please help me if you could. Thanks in advance

U can get 17" bajaj rims. U would needs a smaller dia sprocket or else you would loose top end speed.

I go off roads quite often. 16 inch ones are available but...it will be too short. So decided to settle somewhere in between...thus 17inch. One can opt for 18(F)/16(R) or 21(F)/19(R) but im down on expenses currently. So im going 18/17 for now.

Thanks Bibhu ...and off roads is the concern so top end wont matter a lot. And no mods required i guess during installation? Direct fit?

They fit directly over the rx drum. But the rear will be a 2.5 size one. Means it will take a 100/90 tyre minimum. If you are unable to find one let me know.

if you are going for off road use then better stick to 16 inchers are as there are quite a few choices available also it is an established mod so spokes are also available
If you are going for 17 inchers then try and get the rear rims of discover (17x1.85) or if you want to go wider go for the rear rim from impulse (17x2.15) costs about rs 750/- but i got to tell you spokes for 17 inchers to match 130mm drum are pretty hard to find also the choices for off road tires are a bit limited here

16 inchers will also adversely effect the ground clearence too. I mean for dirt/track purpose they are great. But coming to rocks and mud and crossing river beds jungles etc 16inches will too low...
And i had discover's rim in my mind...now ill look out for Impulse's rim too. Thanks for the help and info kb.

Impulse's rim would be a better choice as hero rims are sturdier than bajaj ones. But would be a pain to find. Spokes are easily available(here at least). Bajaj rear rim costs 800odd rs.
