Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
Hello guys I just bought RX 135 4speed second hand a few days back. The bike looks good but the smoke from the tube is enormous that it covers the traffic behind me and the f e is too low like below 20!!!!

what are all the things I should do to restore it to factory condition? BTW I am from chennai!!
Thanks

Excessive exhaust smoke could be because of various reasons.Originally posted by ghostofsparta View PostHello guys I just bought RX 135 4speed second hand a few days back. Are you running on pre-mix or autolube ?
if pre-mix then whats the ratio?
if autolube then what is the oil consumption you have recorded?
have you or the previous owner serviced the bikr recently - if yes then what were the areas looked into?
How does the bike look from the interior areas, such as with respect to the powerplant?Originally posted by ghostofsparta View PostThe bike looks good but
Again low FE could be because of "N" number of reasons.
kindly eloborate your ride and cylinder+carburetion+transmission specs.Stop at RED and go at GREEN !!!

Are you running the oil pump or mixing oil in petrol tank? If on oil pump, how much does 1lt of 2t last? If on premix, how much 2t/lt are you using?
What is the condition of the carb? is it clean and set up properly? and in good condition?
Is the engine in good condition? What size piston are you running? is the block sleeved? What is the condition if the clutch?
Hope this explains your doubts.

Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
I am mixing oil in petrol while filling. The carb was cleaned while I gave it for a general service and engine oil is new. The engine is in stock condition I suppose. As mentioned by the mechanic the clutch plate needs to be replacedOriginally posted by Bibhu View PostWhat augmenter means is:

Handle bar for RX
hello friends,
I have 2 RXs (RX135 & RXG)
135 is running with a short handle bar and right now looking for a handle bar for RXG.
I hate the stock bar (I knew the negative impacts of non-OE bars, but still the devil inside me is interested in after market stuff)
I tried Shogun handle and satisfied with it. But before finalising it, would like to have suggestions from fellow members.
Requirements:
- Shouldn't be OE
- Shouldn't be taller / wider than OE (shorter ones preferred)
- No clip-ons
Nissan Sunny XVD | Toyota Corolla | Suzuki Ritz
Yamaha RX135 4s-->5s | Yamaha RX100 | Yamaha RXG | Yamaha Ray | TVS Scooty Streak | Duke 390
2000 Yamaha RX135 5s (Sold) | 1998 Yamaha RX135 4s (Sold) | 1997 Yamaha RXG (Sold) | 1994 Yamaha RX100 (Sold)

Re: Handle bar for RX
you wont find a better replacement than the shogun handlebar for the rx/rxz , everthing else is either too tall or wide and hence buggers up the control cable lengths , by all means go for the shogun pieceOriginally posted by Mr.Boss View Posthello friends,

Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
It depends on what af you are using. It would be better if u went for a bigger carb.Originally posted by Ankitvile View PostNeed more juice out of my 5speed. Going in for a bigger main jet. 5sp gear box with properly ported 4sp block, with a 5 sp head would be most ideal.Originally posted by Ankitvile View PostWhile waiting for the help to the above^^ question. Ill chip in with one more.

Re: Random Questions regarding the RX series
go with the regular 5 speed one then adding a 16 inch rear will give you the necessary madness , though converting it for dirt use will involve mods to strengthen the chassis ,swing arm , harder shocks, increasing front travel , modding the footpegs, adding seat unit from the shogun/samurai, if you know somebody you can add a chamber too, as for the bigger jet its useless ,unless you have an expansion chamber/uni filter/bigger carbOriginally posted by Ankitvile View PostWhile waiting for the help to the above^^ question.
