Thanks kb. I get the picture. Lots of work.!! Ill get in touch when i get the work started on that.
A good dt or rxk replicarb hardly costs more than 2500rs. A 24mm or 26mm vm replica would do. For abosolute power a vm26 is recomended as it comes with a 200+ size main jet.

Just plonking a bigger main jet wont do much if you are on the stock air filter. In fact it will just make it too rich.

Yes, you can directly put in the 4sp block. But you will loose a cpl of horses as it makes around 12hp. Low end and midrange would improve though.

You can get any VM or BS carb from UFS directly, just that minimum order is 5 pieces. So you may do a group buy (The 5 pieces does not have to be of the same model, eg. you can order VM24, VM22, VM20, BS33, BS29 or any combination, just that minimum order is 5 pieces.

If by ufc you mean ucal fuel syatems, then as per to their website they dont manufactute vm series carbs beyond 22mm. And i have never heard of a cv carb being used on a 2 stroke motor. It provides less.power than a conventional carb anyways.

            • Clutch Slipping?

Hi, I'm Moses from Hyderabad. My RX135 4spd's clutch started slipping (dont know the exact word) since the last 2 months. The bike is good upto 6.5k RPM (I've installed the RXZ tacho) when I open the throttle, The RPM needle needle moves rapidly towards 8K RPM but the bike doesnt seem to move. I've recently changed the clutch plates and would always take the bike above 6K rpm in the 3rd and 4th gear.

Please help me to sort this out brothers.

Im planning to install an expansion chamber. Im sourcing it from a guy from Thrissur. He races in the Team 777. The question is this is handmade...and how potent will it be.
Secondly what post installation mods are necessary.?? I have a Rx 5speed.
Posting the pic of the chamber too.

This one must have been definitely made for the guy based on this existing set-up -
which is - his port geometry, durations, piston, rod etc.

"Handmade" - It all depends who made the pipe. Experience does matters.

Secondly - Ask the guy his existing set-up. Not sure though if this will give the same performance as it is giving now. You may need to double check or you may end up eating pistons !!

how much is he quoting for this , also just ask him whether it can be used for both 4 and 5 speed bikes , if he says yes then walk away , if you are going for it you might need to check weather the kick lever will clear the belly of the chamber

PS: try and contact team carbon , they i believe are better , and they also have a tie up with ron (rdd) and are the only ones to use a simulator for designing

I believe, reduced piston life is not a big surprise on a set-up which uses the exapansion chamber.

Seniors can flow in their thoughts please.

Most of the time an expansion chamber is just plonked in without giving any thought to upjetting and retiming the bike. Atleast rejetting should be done so that the bike doesnt run too lean with chambers. This will help prolong piston life.

yup they do chambers ,porting , jetting , they pretty much do everything wrt to rx and rd, though i dont have any personal experiences with their services , and they are unlikely to be cheap.
2500 is fair considering the fact that fart cans sold for 4strokes go for 7.5k and above
