Re: Restoration of a 1989 Yamaha RX100,by an 18 year old.
Ha,Not the stock authentic RX because of the tyres and the seat. How i love stock setups!.And will have to see if my baby ever sees the monsoons. Thanks a lot Satish chetta, was a dream to own it someday and is a dream to ride it around, with knowledge about each nut, bolt and washer on the bike.Originally posted by satishg View PostWov..."The Calm Before the Storm" is that the original Nylogrip ST 2.75 x18 came on the 'authentic"RX ? make sure you put the Carb Boot Rubber, or water will enter the carb in mansoons.other wise everything looks perfect. enjoy your ride
Sure man, will post a video,Thanks a lot!Originally posted by Rxboy View PostCongrats bro!!!!!!!
A very clean restoration,we must say!!
A special request,please upload a roaring video!!!!
Thanks a lot brother, means a lot to hear such words!Originally posted by SatSon View PostHad been watching this thread for a while!
Very nice build.
Between, RX's upper chain cover has the opening for lubrication ?
May be the later models and RXG/135 had it in lower chain cover?

Bugger could have used same pattern screws on the outside for the sake of aestheticsOriginally posted by dmkmonk View Post

Agreed. Different screws just give a downmarket vibe.Originally posted by kb100 View PostBugger could have used same pattern screws on the outside for the sake of aesthetics

Re: Restoration of a 1989 Yamaha RX100,by an 18 year old.
Great Job Bro!!! Good Luck. Enjoy your ride
I too restored my 1995 Yamaha RX100. Took almost 2months and finally got it all done last week on the 7th of March. Crash guard is yet to be installed.
Tried to restore it exactly to it's OEM state. 95% of the stuff what I have used is all original Yamaha. Posted some pictures. Hope you'll like them.

Quoting my own post regarding the GB case stickering / painting. If it is of your liking, please get it done.
Originally posted by Mr.Boss View PostOne more suggestion, get the GB case stickered / painted with a black strip / circle (like the below snap)

Nice catch though. Yes I too want that black stripe done. The painter has asked me to come on Sat/Sun. Will hopefully get it done over the weekend.
And BTW I installed the Crash guard today. Will post the pictures soon

Re: Restoration of a 1989 Yamaha RX100,by an 18 year old.
Try to get a kb or shogun resonator. It works better as internal volume is less. But the g resonator works too. Specially if you have a g carb.Originally posted by vkumarrx100 View PostAwesome.. I too restored my RX100 (1996)..
