Well once it catches, it idles instantly alright. So no need to set the idle once it fires up. I had a discussion with BigBore and Yamdoot on the phone today, suspect spark plug or too much oil on the plug.

I think ill drain my 2T box and fill new oil, since the tank is already drained of the pre mix 2t oil. Ill try and find the castrol 2T for sure.

^^ because the stock one is for the cat-con silencer, is more broader. I could not source that, but it would go real wide on the kick. The foot rest rods are also for the cat-con model. This keeps it closer. And eagle eyes for sure!!

rest assured, it cant be coz of ur 2t oil. i was using mak 2t in the side oil box and castrol in the tank (premix). many had adivsed me to do so. And an old Suzuki mech had also told me that mak 2t oil is quite good, he was pretty pissed with all these high tech oils, said that they arent at all that usefull. . .ultimately its oil to lube the system and nothing else,

found his words quite useful.

and yes btw awesome rebuild man. . . almost impossible to find a blue RXZ here in Goa.

Alright, last night i filled normal petrol, since the 2t pump was running fine. So the tank was devoid of any 2t oil, other than some residual from the last fill up or in the reserve amount. Today afternoon after being parked for roughly more than 12 hours, the bike started on the first kick, no choke coz it was really hot in the day!

I just got home and tried the bike again before entering, and now also it started on the first kick! So im guessing i was over doing the 2t oil to run in the bike. The bike is running smoother now, revving above 4.5k rpm easy!

for sure! right now the list is as follows !

- Oil low level indicator harness ( meter end, with 4 pin connector )
- New handlebar ( that ill get locally )
- Front cowling, visor, beading ( visor you have already sourced! thanks )
- Tank reflectors ( again already sourced by you! )
- Brake hose replacement ( i have the FZ brake hose with the banjo bolts lying, will do it when i re paint the caliper and disc.
- Master cylinder ( if i can get the original nissin one, else i will have to use R15 )
- Levers clutch and brake, and lever holder.


I have the original RXZ 4 speed rear carrier ( the one that would extend out onto the rear of the bike, unlike the 5 speed one ), lemme know if anyone needs one. Its brand new!


Actually i feel we should start a thread specifically for sharing RX parts, whosoever has what available , can list there, and who needs what can be listed there. What say???

Great JD things seems to be going perfect... yeah the 2T mixture would have been set rich as per the run-in condition of the bike. Don't change it till you finish your run-in, as lean mixture is not recommended for run-in procedure.
