^^ neither, the piston is izumi which is formerly mahle. I am not planning on using this piston, because i want the piston with the bigger transfer ports.

I had to wait for 4 months for various mess ups in the ordering, and then the shipping phase.

costed me about 13k for one cylinder kit, and two connecting rod assemblies complete. ( after shipping and custom duty).

whats the going rate there?? on the other side its written YP-2.

This bore will be fitted soon ( one week ) and i will definitely give a feedback on it.

    - KTM Duke 200
    - Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

Now i need to check if this bore you have got hold of & the ones i had seen are the same. Will check with the help of Alpha-Numerics inscribed on LH & RH side of bore. Do let me know if i have to check on some other attributes as well.

This black bore with ART piston was Rs.5900/- and with TKRJ piston was Rs.5200/-. The guy had given me piston option to choose between ART & TKRJ. I dont buy it, simply because i dint know if it would work. Since you have already purchased it, you are the best person to judge the performance vis-a-vis with 4TL10 bore kit.

JD the original RXK bore is 4Y201 its the same colour as our indian bore this particullar rxk bore churns out 18.5bhp in stock trim, the one you have bought seems to be the same stuff we get here in JC road, as i can see in your pics there seems to blow holes in the liner as well as near the ports, fix it up else you will end up nowhere they will eat up your rings even before you whink, all the best in getting it running rite.

For 13k you can get the 4Y201 bore itself.

I am not so sure about the colour you are mentioning. Do you have any pics of the original RX-K bore kit ?

All these are for Indonesia model. Maybe just check your invoice copy.

Also let me know the alpha-numeric thing on the con-rod.

Are these available ?.... If these are the original ones, then what are those black colour bores which are available in B'lore ?

If you have any idea, then your thoughts are most welcome.

First of all you asked me about the colour you didn't ask me the specs ? did you ?

Anyways bore x stroke is same, the exhaust port and transfers are way bigger and wider than our indian 5 speed barells. the compression ratio is different from our indian barrells. the carbs are different, the reeds are different.

correction. they run the same reeds as the indian ones.

man you gotta point out the blow holes, coz i could not find out any issues with the liner.

the reeds are same, but the carb and head are different. It runs a slightly higher compression, and is 18PS, which is about 17.5-17.6 bhp. But that are specs of the 2005 model. The cylinder i ordered was of the 1995 model RXking. ( 14.5 bhp ). You guys need to look into that.

So if one is getting the silver one 4y201, or the 3KA series, both of them are right, neither is fake. They are from different generations of the same bike.

                              Does someone get that now?? 3KA ( 1995 , first 5 speed, RXK, 14.5 bhp), 4Y201 ( 2005, last RX-K, 18 bhp due minor mods and tweaks ).

Ideally you can follow two lines of action on this. Go for the 14.5 bhp setup, by buying the corresponding, cylinder, head, crank, con-rod, maybe indian piston etc. The Rings differ slightly from the indian RX135 4S, that there are only 2, there is no scraper ring.

Second option is to buy all the relevant components of the 18PS engine, and fit those. I think the pricing is gonna be more or less same, but you will have to change the reeds, carburettor, crank, block, head, and maybe even the primary gear ( crank to clutch ) to harness the power suitably.
