ah!!! This exactly what I was talking about in Bluevolt's thread. There is an interesting thread on this on RDD. SunnyMysore has posted pics there too and the piston...what shall I say

Original Japnese bore apparently can be bought for Rs.15k. the 4YA one.

Not exactly rebore is not the solution, you need to close those blow holes with epoxy and u need to chamfer the ports and transfers this is the toughest job to do a highly skilled proffesionall tuner is needed for this job. i would say pick that professionall and get it done.

Good. Thats what I gathered from that thread. 3YA (?) the Indonesian one can be had for Rs.5k and it is apparently difficult to distinguish looks-wise but world of difference in performance.

Will post a link here tomo as its stored in 'favourrites' in my office sys. Searching now is a pain

EDIT: Here it is. Need to register though to be ableto view it. http://www.rddreams.com/forum/viewto...63&hilit=japan

Pradeep sahebre, can you post a rough estimate, how much would it cost to re-build 135 to RXK with the cylinder under discussion. Everything put together I mean. 4YA cylinder kit, matching crank+gearbox+clutch+carb and the works.

                        • i would like to know that despite RX-135 series(RX-G/Z/4S/5S) making more power than RX-100, why is the 100 preferred more than 135cc's?

yup, this is the trend over here

Simple - The engine of RX100 is more refined & gives a smooth power. Sprocketing of RX100 is different giving quick acceleration; last but not the least, the legendary sound of RX.

if RX100 is more Refined why are you setting out to Rebuild a RX135 (engine Wise),you must be building a Stock RX 100. care to Explain ?

wat you have said in the thread & wat you have said here :

is Very Contradicting Indeed, you want the Cake & want to Eat it too

RX135 is the King of 2 Strokes in india & will remain the boss,RX100 is just a over hyped bike that is the fact not bothered if people accept it or not

your rebuild seems to be like:

                                * Paratha for Break fast (RX 100 body)
                                * sambar rice for Lunch (Cylinder Assy + Crankshaft Assy of RX135 4 Speed)
                                * pizza & pasta for dinner (Gearbox of RX135 5 Speed)

End Result is Indigestion which will leave you sick for Ever

it seems to a Jack of all & master off none rebuild hope your bike does not suffer from indigestion
